Emergency service personnel regularly participate in drills to simulate real-world scenarios. One crucial skill is gaining access to buildings through locked fire escapes. These drills allow firefighters, police, and other first responders to practice various techniques for breaching locked fire escapes efficiently and safely, potentially saving valuable time in critical situations #engineering #safety #security #door #doors #techniques #firefighters #firefighter #lock #firesafety #firefighting

There are a lot of ways to open locked doors and Facilities people occasionally need to do it. However I don't like it when the ways are publicized and bad guys see how easy it is. When I open doors I ask the public to leave so they can't see how I did it.

I don't believe it's a good idea to post videos such as this one. You are teaching the bad guys how to break into buildings with this type of security doors.

And now you just trained a lot of people that did not need to know that. Or was that intentional? ?? ??

Locksmiths have a tool that does the same thing except it slides under the door and doesn’t damage it.

100mm bimetal hole saw and a cordless drill would be my weapon of choice here ??

I cringe watching this training performed without eye protection.

Simulation training can be very effective for many trades. No just computer simulation. These live in person interactive simulations and the post simulation discussions, evaluations and recognition of what worked and what can be improved. I work part time with live simulation education for the Illinois State University collage of nursing. I act out as a patient different scenarios. Been encouraging trucking to begin such training if anyone want to know more feel free to message me for a lay persons perspective. M Gary

Helping educate RN students today with live simulation. This patient role is where I portray a man who was in a motorcycle accident and have internal bleeding. Later my heart will stop with cardiac arrest and they bring me back to life. ???? Gary Imagine the scenarios truckers and your staff deal with everyday and how you could do it better. Another way to “skin the cat” of forcible entry.
