The top 10 emerging Tier 2 cities are in India :- The top Tier 1 cities driving commercial growth in the country include the 8 metros: Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata and Ahmedabad. But as these markets reach a point of maturity, the next stage of growth across consumerism, real estate and industry will be seen in the next 10 cities. I’ve been reading several reports on the upcoming tier 2 Indian markets but specifically liked a recent report by Cushman & Weikfield, where they rated the cities on the following factors. - Population Size Index and Population CAGR - Ease of Living Score - International & Domestic Air Passenger Index - Metro Development Index - Tertiary Education Enrolment Index - House Price Index - GDP per Capita Index So, the next 10 rising cities of India for business and real estate are - ???? North: Lucknow and Jaipur ???? West: Surat, Indore and Nagpur ???? East: Bhubaneswar and Vishakhapatnam ???? South: Kochi, Coimbatore and Trivandrum #indiancities #realestate #growth #roi #returns

India: A Nation of Growing Numbers India is set to remain the most populated country throughout this century. According to the UN, our population is projected to peak in the early 2060s at around 1.7 billion, followed by a decline of about 12%. This demographic journey will shape our future in profound ways. Here are the current population figures for our major cities: Delhi: 32.94 million Mumbai: 21.29 million Kolkata: 15.57 million Bengaluru: 14 million Chennai: 12.05 million Hyderabad: 11.06 million Ahmedabad: 8.85 million Surat: 8.33 million Pune: 7.34 million As we navigate this demographic evolution, the focus on sustainable urban development, resource management, and quality of life becomes paramount. Let's work together to build a future that supports and thrives on our diversity and strength in numbers. #India #PopulationGrowth #SustainableDevelopment #FuturePlanning #UrbanDevelopment

Where do you think the future drivers of India’s growth will come from? In the last 50+years, the key Southern and Western states have been the engines of economic growth in India with some of the more populous states in the North and Centre / East being laggards. With >60% of Indias population, these states had fallen behind in literacy levels, investment and consumption. However, with improved law and order, better infrastructure (roads, uninterrupted power, etc.) and manufacturing led growth, there is an opportunity for many of these states to be the next driver for exponential economic growth. In fact, unlike in the past when most of the investible companies originated from a handful of “developed” states, I find an increasing number of opportunities emanating from “developing” states. Until about 10 years ago, our investment opportunities almost exclusively came from Mumbai, Pune, NCR, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Chennai and Hyderabad. Now many interesting ones also come from Jaipur, Surat, Indore, Patna, Lucknow/ Kanpur, Ludhiana, Chandigarh etc.... This is not only good news for more equitable growth but also expands the subset of investible companies for folks like us! ?? ----- #sarvjitbedi Follow me at Sarvjit Singh Bedi

1. Delhi has pollution and safety issues. 2. Mumbai is humid and too crowded. 3. Bengaluru has traffic problem. Emerging cities like Pune, Nagpur seems to have relatively less problems, but when it grows to the size of big metro cities I doubt, it keeps up its infrastructure. Feels like no Indian metro cities have infrastructure which is making them livable. What is your take ? which metro city you feel the best ? follow me and I will help you to find your dream job: Vasanth Bhat

Kolkata v/s Bangalore v/s Hyderabad : I often see posts considering Kolkata as a grey spot which is now being recognised slowly. But however comparing the above 3 cities in terms of company formation and establishment the later 2 can be taken as consideration but the Kolkata still need to compete with new growing cities unlike Bhubaneswar. Kolkata is a big "No" for most of the reasons due to : . No Right Talent . Not good enough competition except few generation MNCs. . State Government is not supportive unlike others. . Lack of proper infra (Not in terms of space & accomodation but in terms of work environment ). But the one which makes us unite for "City of Joy" if we decide to leverage our demography existence we have a great potential in manufacturing sector. Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar including Bengal itself can help producing Indias most favorable condition manufacturing state which is supported by a Port as well. No Doubt, Why calcutta was the capital in British Raj. Localities and respective State citizens need to understand the "Need of Kolkata or I should say Redeveloped Joy City". Or else slowly what we see talents / resources will be migrated to the other best alternatives. Let's try to make "Kolkata relevant again". #kolkata #calcutta #job #talent

13/806 districts contribute 50% to India's GDP. Hard to believe but true. Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Pune, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Chennai, Surat, Thane, Jaipur, Nagpur and Nashik. Out of these 13 districts, 5 are in Maharashtra itself! The only "flaw" of this map is the uneven distribution of opportunities and wealth. Large states like Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Gujarat have great potential. Even if only one district of every state is at this level, it would be so much better. Hopefully someday this happens.
