As we head into the upfront season, things are looking pretty gloomy for the media industry. TV budgets are flipping to digital at a rate few could have imagined. Streamers have added ad inventory, but don’t have the audience to justify the price tag Consumers have already cut the cord, and paying for one more streamer is more than most are willing to handle. Streaming churn is the order of the day. With ad revenue in free fall and rebellions against cable (and streaming services likely not far behind), what is going to keep this industry from crashing and burning? I’d love to hear predictions.
