I’ve been reading up on different sales techniques, and I’ve been comparing cold emails with Account-Based Marketing (ABM). Cold emails let you reach lots of people quickly with little effort. A step-by-step guide to following-up with your leads. Everyone on social media tells you to “Follow up with your leads” But almost nobody tells you how. So, here’s how to follow up without sounding needy in 7 simple steps: Step 1 - Use Multiple channels for follow up Example ?? Follow up using phone / sms if email isn’t working, and vice versa. Step 2 - Add Value. Example ?? Share an insightful article or industry news or a relevant update each time. Step 3 - Time your follow ups. Example ?? Be persistent, but don’t irritate them. Leave sufficient gap between follow ups. Once a week is normally good, unless you are at a quarter end Step 4 - Use Technology. Example ?? Use CRM tools for scheduled, personalized messages. Step 5 - Keep it Short. Example ?? Brief and to-the-point messages are more likely to be read. Step 6 - Provide Multiple Contact Options. Example ?? Give them options to reply via email, phone or social media. Step 7 - Accept Rejection Gracefully. Example ?? If they are unresponsive despite all this, take the hint and move on.
