I’ve always liked most people and have had really good friends. But I am only now understanding what community is and how it shapes our lives. Here are the 4 communities I never knew I needed. C12 Colorado Christian CEOs/ business owners pursuing great businesses for a greater purpose UNRATIONED Entrepreneurial men pursuing extraordinary at work, at home, and at play. Exodus Men seeking uncommon freedom. Here to Healthy: Purpose driven leaders committed to being intentional in every aspect of life. The individuals that find themselves in each of these communities are very different. But there are many common themes. They value: Unity > Division Real talk > Small talk Progress > Perfection Hard things > Easy things Vulnerability > Wearing masks Taking action > Talking about action Accountability in commitments > Acceptance of excuses Community is defined as a feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals. I am grateful to experience this feeling. My life is better for it. If you don’t have a community that pushes you to be the best version of yourself, keep on searching. It is out there. If any of the above communities resonate with you, feel free to reach out. I’d be happy to share my experience.

"There is no power for change greater than a community discovering what it cares about." –?Margaret J. Wheatley Today's #gratitude post comes to appreciate interesting and powerful communities I've discovered and enjoyed, that have truly discovered what they stand for. Not what the founding team stands for, but one that shares a common care with each participating member. It's not an exaggeration to say that I've explored dozens of "communities" so far, both local and overseas. But true communities like Cammunity are pretty rare to come by; where the community mission resonates strongly with participating members every month. Where each member feels very welcomed; almost like it's another home. #safespace Where there's a mix of extroverts and introverts, its fine if someone doesn't talk a lot. But yet there's a lot of great sharing and discussions. Where feedback is taken very seriously (yet improvements are executed in a fun way...like a campfire!) Where the momentum and bonds between members are growing strong over months. It's very welcomed; and truly very appreciated. Sometimes, it really feels like the right community is "air-dropped" onto me when I'm looking for it. And even "wrong communities" are there to show me the possible improvements and things to be appreciated! Also, is it me or has there been more and more attempts to build communities lately? #media #marketing

"You are only one person away from having the life you want." - Ed Mylett The scariest part of a closed door isn't that it's closed... it's that you never tried to open it. That mentor you admire? They're one DM away. That partnership you dream of? One coffee chat away. That opportunity you want? One conversation away. But here's the truth: Doors don't open themselves. That's why we built The Brighter Side Society - where every door comes with a community ready to help you turn the handle. Where your "one person away" becomes a room full of supporters, including industry experts with decades of experience ready to share their keys to success. Your next chapter is waiting on the other side of today's action. Will you leave the door closed, or are you ready to step through? Our community call starts in an hour. DM for the link - let's open that door together. ? #BrighterSideSociety #EdMylett #TakeAction #OpenDoors #CommunityOverCompetition

“You are only one person away from having the life you want.” - Ed Mylett I came across this post by Angel Holmes and it couldn’t have resonated more. As someone going into year 7 of entrepreneurship, I’ve learned that opening doors often starts with connection. Whether it’s helping business owners streamline their operations, mentoring aspiring virtual assistants, or connecting with other female founders, every meaningful opportunity in my career began with a simple conversation. That’s exactly why I prioritize building supportive communities like Girlhood Collective and offering guidance through initiatives like my Simply Virtual training. I want to be the “one person away” for others who are ready to grow and transform their lives. So, let this be your reminder: today is the day to take action. Slide into that DM. Send that email. Knock on that door. If you’re ready to open new doors, let’s connect. The right partnership, support, or opportunity might just be one conversation away. ? Thank you again, Angel, for the inspiration!
I build meaningful connections and communities where ambitious women transform their dreams into reality

"For Black men, who often carry the weight of societal pressures, this?sense of brotherhood?is a lifeline.” - Manny Almonte A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for the latest installment of the?Nature =?series, where we explored how time outside can?foster community, connection, and belonging?among Black and Brown men. Manny Almonte and Andy Isaacson of?Camping to Connect, along with?CJ Goulding of?Boyz N The Wood, shared powerful stories about the role of nature in building brotherhood?and leadership through culturally resonant programming. We also screened the award-winning film?Wood Hood, bringing to life the impact of these experiences on?young men of color. ??? Missed the session??Catch the recording and access additional resources?here: https://lnkd.in/gmHtssnf "Having access to the power of nature not only provides Black men with a space of healing, but also?normalizes the idea of leaning on each other as brothers. As they return home, that social connection and support serves as a foundation to show up better as fathers, as brothers, as uncles, as community leaders.”?- CJ Goulding, Boyz n The Wood Key Takeaways: -- Nature serves as a?neutral ground for connection, offering participants a safe space for vulnerability and personal growth. -- Programs like Camping to Connect and Boyz N The Wood foster?brotherhood, equipping participants with skills and tools to bring this sense of connection back to their communities. -- Building community, even in small ways, is?essential?and?impactful. Peer to Peer Mentorship is top tier! Most of the time your peers can share real time feedback, are best able to coach you through a situation and most likely to help you leverage your next career move. Also, for me, Peer to Peer mentorship outside of the organization as been my best form of career and personal development. Don’t sleep on Peer to Peer Mentoring! #mentorsmatter #peertopeer #careerdevelopment
4X NYT Bestselling Author | Book Coach | Top 1% TED Speaker (10M views) | Giving people the tools, courage and words to take transformative action
We spend a lot of time looking for mentors and networking UP when we should be looking side to side at the folks we already know, and gleaning lessons from them too. We will OVERLOOK a peer, while desperately seeking the attention of someone who we think has a big name or big power. And that's how a lot of us miss out on what our community has for us.

2025 is the Year of Community We’re living at a time when there’s more access to information and people than ever before. Along with this comes distractions and overwhelm. That’s why many people depend on referrals from people they trust. Regardless of industry, your goals for the new year likely include reaching new people. One of the most effective ways to do this is by growing a community of enthusiastic fans who’ll share you with others. Intentionally building a community of faithful followers requires some specific elements. First, the team behind your community building efforts must care about people. It seems so obvious, but it’s not. People power your program, and true community is built from one-on-one relationships. That looks like following up, following through, and treating community members with care.? Next, your community should understand how they’re part of fulfilling your organization’s mission. They need to know why they’re here and how they can help. Connect the dots for them by sharing this on repeat. Encourage their feedback and be open to different perspectives. You never know where welcoming new ideas might take you. Finally, celebrate progress. In a world where we’re constantly reminded that we are falling short or are less than, positivity and gratitude stands out. Show appreciation and call attention to examples of the action you want to see more of from members. I can’t wait to see where your community takes you this year!

Everyone is talking about setting goals and taking action this year, but not many people talk about how tedious and overwhelming it can be. Walking the journey of adulthood alone sometimes feels like an impossible mission, but what I’ve found to be helpful over the years is having people who keep me accountable. At the end of last year, my friends and I came together for what turned out to be an amazing planning session. ?? Here’s what we did: ?? Reflected on 2024: What worked, what didn’t, and the lessons we’re taking forward. ?? Created our vision boards: A visual reminder of what we’re striving for. ?? Wrote letters to our future selves: A powerful way to commit to our goals and check in with ourselves later. ?? Set goals for 2025: Specific, measurable, and achievable targets to guide us. ?? Paired with accountability partners: The secret ingredient to staying on track. ?? Having accountability means having a partner who gently pushes you toward your goals and celebrates your wins along the way. I hope you chat up that friend and you guys hold each other accountable in 2025. Remember, failing to plan is planning to fail. So, take that step today in whatever way works best for you! ?? Grateful for my community ? Lydie Clermy Afoali Ngwakum Sarah St-Georges Ashley Tshala and many others not in this video or no LinkedIn ?
