The system you create is a reflection of how your team works (the way they organize things, the way they communicate, etc.). By observing the team, you can see what the system will be like. In the same way, by examining the current system, you can predict how the team was structured.

Work in parallel tends to create a lot of collateral damage (unintended damage). I dislike that model, and prefer that changes be made out in the open, when the team is present. Furthermore, changes should be made sequentially, not in parallel.
