In the critical world of aviation safety, every detail counts. That's where Infrared (IR) LEDs come into play for aircraft warning lights and airport/heliport lighting. That is why: → NIGHT VISION COMPATIBILITY: IR LEDs emit light invisible to the naked eye, but perfectly detectable by Night Vision Goggles (NVGs) commonly used by pilots during low-visibility operations. This ensures clear visibility of warning lights and airport infrastructure, promoting safe navigation and avoiding potential hazards. → ENHANCED PENETRATION: IR light can penetrate fog, smoke, and dust more effectively compared to traditional visible light sources. → COVERT OPERATION: In certain situations, such as military ones, discreet lighting is essential. IR LEDs provide a covert solution, ensuring vital warnings reach intended audiences without compromising discretion. Investing in IR LED technology for your Aircraft Warning Lights and heliport lighting is an investment in safety. LUXSOLAR beacon can be equipped with IR LEDs compatible with NVG night vision goggles and compliant with international standards. #Luxsolaritalia #aviationsafetyy #nightvision #obstructionlights #obstaclelights #heliportlighting #infrared

THE CHANGES IN AVIONICS SYSTEMS AFTER THE TRAGIC EVENTS OF 9/11 ???? The changes in aeronautics post 9/11 were comprehensive and aimed to preventing similar incidents in the futur. This measure not only transformed how airlines operate but also influenced the design and the development of future aircraft and aviation systems. Bellow are some of the major changes: ●Cockpit security: All commercial flights were required to have reinforced, bulletproof cockpit doors. this change became a global standard across commercial aviation. In some aircraft, secondary cockpit barriers were added to avionics systems, these barriers are electronically controlled and serve as an additional security layer when cockpit doors are open for necessary movement (while they are not always a standard feature across all fleets but many airlines have taken the initiative to install them across their existing fleets, in addition they are increasingly being included in new aircraft designs and retrofitted into existing ones such as boeing 737,777 ,787 models, Airbus's A320, A330, A350 families) ●Upgraded transponder systems: tansponder which relay an aircraft's position to ATC are equipped with squawk codes that communicate specific statues (code 7500 is used to silently indicate a hijacking) and regulations were strengthened to make transponder systems more tamper resistant. ●Secondary communication systems: additional systems and protocols were introduced to allow pilots to communicate with authorities even if the primary systems were disabled or compromised, this included expanding the use of ACARS "Aircraft Communication Addressing and Reporting Systems " ●Automatic Dependent Surveillance Broadcast (ADS-B) technology became more widely adopted to provide real time tracking, thus system allows aircraft to automatically transmit their positions, velocity and other data to ATC ●Flight Management Systems (FMS) software was upgraded to restrict deviations from approved flight paths. ●GPS integration: these systems provide more accurate data to both pilots and air traffic controllers ●Sattelite Communication systems: SATCOM was further integrated into avionics to ensure continuous communication between aircraft and ground based stations even in remote areas. ●CVRs and FDRs also known as black boxes were improved to capture more data over longer periods. #nineelevn #avionics #upgradedivionics #September11 #unitedstates #theworldtradecenter #newyorkcity

Talking about ATC – Air Traffic Control which is usually considered as the central nervous system of an airport has its focus always to ensure the safe and efficient movement of the Aircrafts. It's a complex operation divided into different sections, each with specific responsibilities. ?Tower: This is the most recognisable ATC facility, a towering tower with a commanding view of the airport grounds from which controllers supervise ground and air traffic within a designated airspace called?Terminal Control Area (TCA). ?Ground: Ground controllers oversee the movement of aircraft on taxiways and aprons, which are where planes park and ready to depart. ?Approach: Approach controllers manage the transition from enroute airspace to the TCA. They direct incoming planes to the landing zone, providing enough spacing and sequencing for a safe landing. ?Departure: Departure controllers take command once the plane has taken off. They direct the aircraft into enroute airspace and coordinate handoff to the appropriate enroute centre for additional direction. ?TRACON: In addition to tower controllers, bigger airports frequently feature a Terminal Radar Approach Control (TRACON) facility that manages aircraft within the terminal airspace. TRACON controllers direct arriving and departing aircraft through terminal airspace, ensuring safe and efficient transitions to and from the enroute phase of flight. ?ARTCC: Air Route Traffic Control Centres (ARTCC) comes into play beyond the terminal airspace, planes are handed over to enroute air traffic controllers at ARTCC sites. ARTCC controllers oversee aircraft throughout the enroute phase of flight, giving routing, altitude adjustments, and traffic warnings to guarantee safe and efficient passage on defined airways and routes. #SkyGuidance #FlightControl #AirTrafficFlow #ControlTowerChronicles #AviationSafety #NavigateTheSkies #ATCInsights #AviationOasis

?????????? ?????????????????? ???????? (??????) ?? A Radio Mandatory Zone (RMZ) is an airspace where aircraft are required to communicate with air traffic control (ATC) on a specific radio frequency. RMZs are typically established around busy airports or in areas where there is high traffic density to ensure safe and efficient air traffic management. Pilots flying within an RMZ must have a functioning radio onboard and be in contact with ATC to receive instructions and advisories regarding their flight. Failure to comply with RMZ communication requirements can result in serious safety hazards and may lead to enforcement actions by aviation authorities. RMZs help ATC maintain situational awareness and provide timely traffic information to pilots, enabling them to navigate through congested airspace safely. They are an essential component of modern airspace management systems, contributing to the overall safety and efficiency of air travel. On this picture you can see a typical set-up for a droone inspection with RMZ when we are doing inspections all around Lelystad Airport. Our colleague Piet is in constant contact with air traffic control. Piet sets up an antenna that provides a signal to the tower. In the meantime we drive to the nearby windturbines and start setting up our droone equipment. #DAW #droonesarialworks #droneinspections #drone #inspections #safety #windenergy #energytransition #newenergy #sustainableenergy #energy #newtechnology
