Here's my 2024 LinkedIn Rewind, by Coauthor.studio: At 18, solar panels shouldn't just be an engineering problem – they should be a solution to our global energy challenges. This year, I discovered how persistence can transform theoretical limits. My breakthrough? A computational research framework proving solar panel efficiency could leap from 23% to 70% – independent of environmental constraints. This isn't just a number; it's a potential revolution in how we think about renewable energy. Achieving this wasn't straightforward. Battling health challenges including repeated fainting spells, I simultaneously: ? Became the top female student in my department of 250+ students ? Developed a theoretical model for unprecedented solar panel performance ? Launched a YouTube channel demystifying power generation secrets ? Published over 15 research articles ? Built a LinkedIn community of 5,000+ followers passionate about innovation My most impactful moments came through unexpected channels: 1. Solar Efficiency Breakthrough "The inference I arrived at was that the solar panel efficiency can be taken from 23% to about 70% which will not be affected by the environmental factors." https://lnkd.in/dGZYKeCM 2. Tetfund Research Exhibition Showcasing how "innovation is always a sight that indeed appeases the mind of the older generation and inspires the minds of the younger generation." https://lnkd.in/dt6zJBQV Looking ahead to 2025: I'm laser-focused on securing prototype funding, advancing hydroelectric power research, and expanding platforms that make complex energy solutions accessible. Immense gratitude to my mentors Ejikeme Nwosu, Dr. Aituaz Kola-Oladejo, and Ghandi Monday Daniel – your support transformed challenges into opportunities. To every young researcher, every student facing obstacles: Your potential isn't defined by your circumstances, but by your determination to push boundaries. #RenewableEnergy #EnergyInnovation #PowerGeneration #YoungResearcher #Nigeria #LinkedInRewind #Coauthor #2024wrapped

?? Education and Outreach: Exploring Strategies for Raising Awareness and Educating the Public about the Benefits of Green Hydrogen ?? In the pursuit of a sustainable future, green hydrogen stands out as a promising clean energy source. However, for its potential to be fully realized, it is crucial that we raise public awareness and understanding of its benefits. Here are some key strategies for effective education and outreach on green hydrogen: Public Information Campaigns: Utilize media channels, including social media, to disseminate clear, engaging information about green hydrogen, its uses, and its environmental benefits. Educational Programs: Partner with schools, universities, and technical institutes to incorporate green hydrogen into STEM curriculums, fostering the next generation of energy innovators. Community Workshops and Webinars: Host interactive sessions to explain the science behind green hydrogen and its role in reducing carbon emissions, tailored for diverse audiences. Industry Collaboration: Work with industry stakeholders to create informative content and case studies that highlight successful green hydrogen projects and their impact. Policy Advocacy: Engage with policymakers to support legislation and incentives that promote green hydrogen production and usage, ensuring the public understands these initiatives. Public Demonstrations and Pilot Projects: Showcase real-world applications of green hydrogen in transportation, industry, and energy storage to illustrate its practicality and benefits. By implementing these strategies, we can build a well-informed public that supports and participates in the transition to a green hydrogen economy. Let’s join forces to educate and inspire others about the transformative power of green hydrogen! ???? #GreenHydrogen #Sustainability #CleanEnergy #PublicAwareness #STEMEducation #RenewableEnergy #ClimateAction

Join our network for early career researchers working on circular economy for wind ?? Dr Anne Velenturf, Kristine Wilhelm Lund?and I are creating a community for early career researchers from any sector who are active in circular economy for wind. Our initial aim with the network is to share knowledge between researchers and projects, facilitate collaboration to accelerate research and work towards a more circular wind turbine industry, and create a platform to share new publications, new projects, career opportunities etc. ? We have developed a questionnaire to collect expressions of interest in joining the network. If you are interested in joining the community, then please fill out the questionnaire and we will get back to you accordingly. If you know of any other researchers who might be interested in joining, please feel free to share this message with them. ? You can find the questionnaire here:?https://lnkd.in/eWP5KbGw ? We are organizing an online kick-off meeting for the network in November. ? #CircularEconomy #Sustainability #WindEnergy #CircularWind #CircularRenewables #network #collaboration

We are delighted to announce that our application has been approved by Australian Research Council (ARC) under the Linkage Infrastructure, Equipment and Facilities 2025 scheme (LE25)! With over two million dollars in funding, we will build a state-of-the-art operando characterisation platform in Western Australia to advance fundamental research and accelerate the clean energy transition in WA and beyond. We are deeply grateful for the ARC's contribution of $1.514 million, as well as the generous support from four Western Australian universities (The University of Western Australia, Curtin, Murdoch University, and ECU) and other five leading Australian universities (University of Adelaide, University of Sydney, ANU, UQ, and University of Melbourne). Australia currently lacks a comprehensive operando analysis platform suited to high-temperature clean energy research, and WA has no such facility. Given the unique requirements of operando characterisation, which demands on-site, in situ analysis, there is an urgent need for this platform to support local and national universities engaged with WA industries. This project aims to establish a pioneering operando analysis platform, enabling in situ characterisations for synthesising and optimising innovative energy catalyst materials and applying them in clean energy transition and decarbonisation efforts. The facility will integrate and advance operando functionalities in dilatometry, atomic force microscopy (AFM), ultraviolet-visible (UV-Vis) spectroscopy, electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR), and combined Fourier-transform infrared and Raman spectroscopies. This setup will enable researchers to study materials under realistic synthetic or catalytic conditions—such as high temperatures, gas reactants, light exposure, or electrolyte environments—bridging gaps between catalyst design principles and reaction mechanism insights. Focusing on clean hydrogen production, CO? reduction, natural gas, fuel cells, batteries, and solar energy conversion, this research is poised to deliver substantial benefits to Australia. With this foundational support, we are committed to establishing a comprehensive, accessible platform for operando and in situ analysis to advance research and industry collaboration in WA.
