Project ????:?? is refreshingly well documented, this is the perfect use case for anyone building a custom character in Unreal Engine. ???????? ???? ?????????????? ????:??? ZU:A is a full digital human built by Beatrice Schmidt. And ZU:A is ?????? a MetaHuman, as you might expect from the high level of detail. ZU:A is crafted from the ground up. ???????? ???? ?????????????????????? ?????????? ???????? ??????????????? The extensive way this project was documented is very insightful. Beatrice added detailed information on both ArtStation and Behance. This is not your typical BTS video, this is a huge overview of information going into: > Creating a full profile about ZU:A > Technical pipeline overview > Making body and face control rigs > Making Animation Blueprints > Faceware facial animations in Maya > Retargeting in Unreal Engine > Body #mocap with Movella Entertainment | Xsens > Finger capture with MANUS? There is more gold in her documentation about: - Modelling - Sculpting - Rigging - Scripting - Grooming - Clothing - Lighting - Texturing and so much more... ???????? ???????? ???????? ???????? ????? Even though there are many tools to build a high-end digital model, it involves a lot of work. There are no shortcuts... Also, as far as I can tell, she did not use any AI tool, this was all done with traditional software and tools. If you want to reach this level of detail, you need to do the work. ???????? ???? ???????? ????????? That’s really incredible how much work this costs to get such a result… but actually there IS a shortcut for a digital human - volumetric capture. MoCap is cool to create these imaginary characters but volumetric‘s is there for the real-deal immersion. Have you had the chance to look into that? For a reference you can check 4DPeople or Volucap. :)
