I've started reading #Story #Machines by Dr. Mike Sharples, after having the pleasure of attending his speach at the #Education #Excellence #Conference. His writings on how #AI systems build stories and Narrative Generation is one of the resources that got me thinking about a certain innovative #pedagogical practices and the challenge of aligning broad educational aims with concrete, practical actions. Margo Roen could not agree more! To the ALI summary, I would add "effectiveness" to the list of what would increase if we better engaged stakeholders throughout the education R&D process. Innovations would undoubtedly be more "inclusive, equitable and learner-centered." But to me a critical point is they'd also be far more likely to work.
