This session explores how trauma-informed approaches can enhance nutrition security programs integrated into medical settings, with a focus on communities experiencing food insecurity and lifestyle conditions. Participants will learn actionable strategies, patient-centered communication techniques, and ways to foster equitable messaging. Speakers will share insights on implementation, client-centered feedback, and the role of culturally tailored meals in improving health outcomes. Attendees will learn about the program’s development process, the role of a Community Advisory Board in co-designing interventions, and strategies for addressing challenges in creating food-based health equity programs.
