Campaign base production ?? Because vigilance is absent, so it can be very dangerous ?? The hazards of campaign-based production can be dangerous to human life. In this, we bypass a lot of GMP rules and think they don't matter. Accidents often occur due to faulty or misused equipment because the equipment is not maintained, which is very important. You avoid and think that it doesn't matter. Ergonomic hazards increase with repetitive tasks or prolonged standing. Increased stress and fatigue have been observed. It has often been seen that the equipment is left at night without cleaning and in the next morning you start the production again and when asked you all said that it is the same product, it does not matter. It makes a difference, sir, and it can also pose risks to human life. You get time savings and a maximum of 5% increase in production, but on the other hand, your carelessness compromises the quality of the product. It's like if you eat the same meal for a whole week and leave the plate unwashed, then the next day you eat in the same plate again and you feel a bad smell from that food. Then you use the same unwashed plate again, and even you are not able to eat because of its condition and smelly food. If you eat on the same plate because of the same food you have to be hospitalised. Because you did not pay attention to the plate and the place of dining. Of course, you should eat daily, but keeping the plate clean is your first responsibility so that you can be safe from disease. Likewise, if you don't organize production according to critical GMP guidelines, both your company and the innocent people who use your company's medicines will suffer. Campaign-based production can be safe if proper safety measures and protocols are in place. Regular maintenance and inspection of equipment. Adequate training for operators and employees. Implementation of safety procedures and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Regular risk assessment and risk identification. Proper handling and storage of chemicals and substances. Appropriate personal protective equipment and ergonomic considerations. Effective cleaning and disinfection procedures. Continuous monitoring and improvement of the production process. By prioritizing safety, campaign-based production can reduce risks and ensure a safe working environment for employees. I took advantage of a recent visit to the hospital and “inspected” their touchless hand dryers. (Medical conditions are secondary in my line of work!) Note the mold growth in the drain! On other occasions I have found similar mold growth in the drain and on the mechanicals inside similar touchless hand dryers and hand washing units in food processing plants. Develop a sanitation standard operating procedure for all such hygiene equipment in your plant (don’t forget the boot scrubbers) and include these devices on the master cleaning schedule.
