To my disability and accessibility people: Let's make our circle bigger. How do we do this? Through invitations. Sometimes many. We know that people are on information overload. Even information about accessibility -- it's near and dear to us. But to those who are not (yet) in our circle, it's going to take a personal touch. How do we make those invitations something people respond to? It's the classic marketing challenge, but with a twist. This stuff is personal. We're advocating for things we deeply believe in. And that touches our lives and those we love, every day. Stories, insights, and gentle nudges. It might be tempting to blast out our message to the void. A hammer may get attention, but rarely does it awaken true change. Let's try a new approach to make our community bigger.
