Holders of temporary protection and changes to state humanitarian accommodation from September 1, 2024. From September 1, 2024, there will be a change in the duration of the provision of free state humanitarian accommodation.?From this date, state humanitarian accommodation will be provided for a maximum period of 90 days from the granting of the first temporary protection. The change also affects vulnerable people. Vulnerable person means a person who meets the conditions for granting a humanitarian benefit and is also a person under the age of 18, a person over the age of 65, a person caring for a child under the age of 6, a disabled person or a holder of a certificate certifying a disability (including persons caring for them), a person studying in the Czech Republic up to the age of 26, a pregnant woman. It is not normally possible to change the accommodation facility that has been assigned to the holder of temporary protection. The change is allowed only for serious reasons that fundamentally complicate or make the stay in the accommodation facility impossible and arose independently of the will of the holder of temporary protection. For example, a child's work or attendance at a school in another place is not considered a serious reason. A serious reason is when the Accommodation does not meet the health needs of the person or the need for social services or the shared life of close family members would be disrupted by the division. The system of free state humanitarian accommodation for those fleeing from Ukraine has been conceived as a temporary instrument of immediate assistance to the citizens of Ukraine since the beginning of its implementation. If on 31 August 2024 a citizen of Ukraine has been using state humanitarian accommodation for 90 days or more, he will no longer be allowed to use this accommodation free of charge from 1 September 2024. State humanitarian accommodation will have to be abandoned or replaced by accommodation paid for at one's own expense. https://lnkd.in/dncpbFe5

? How Much Time Are You Really Wasting? When you look back at your life, it's startling to realize how much time is spent on seemingly trivial activities. For instance, the average person will spend over 2 years scrolling through Instagram ??, day and night. That’s not all – you’ll also lose 19+ days simply taking off your shoes ?? and around 2 years cleaning your house ??. Time is our most valuable resource ??, yet it's so easy to let it slip away. One way to reclaim some of that time, especially for professionals in government affairs and policy, is by simplifying your tasks. If you’re hiring, you can save valuable time ?? by posting jobs on EUjobs.co, the only Brussels-based job board dedicated to government affairs and policy roles, with a streamlined, 2-click payment solution ??. Why waste time when you can focus on what truly matters? ??

Thousands of men, women and children are trafficked within their own countries and abroad every year, often while travelling alone and despite Canada being one of the world's most popular destinations for solo travellers The Signal for Help is a single-handed gesture that can be used by an individual to alert others that they feel threatened and need help over a video call, or in-person. SOS signals for solo travellers Order an “Angel Shot” at the bar: Asking for an “Angel Shot” is a discreet way to alert bar staff that someone needs help. Only 20% of Canadians are aware of this practice. Ask to speak to “Angela”: This method is used mainly in the UK and allows a person in distress to ask to speak to "Angela" discreetly to signal for help. Only 14% of Canadians know this code. Use the acronym STAN: “STAN” stands for “Send The Authorities Now” and is used to request immediate intervention by authorities. Only 13% of Canadians know this acronym. Draw a black dot on the palm of your hand: The "Black Dot" campaign encourages victims of domestic violence to draw a black dot on their palm to signal for help. Only 11% of Canadians are aware of this signal. #stophumantrafficking #solotravellers #nonverbalcommunication #safety #angela #STAN #blackdot #moderndayslavery #victims #eyesopen #yellowrose #paulbrandt #airports

Recommend editorial headline/opening be ignored; the taxpayers' funded money numbers and NGOs' data points are quite eye-popping and informative.

Bosnia’s main rail route is gone, and we need to do something about it. ???? ?? ? The images of the flooding in Bosnia have circulated the globe and have left people speechless. Only a few weeks after the floods in Central Europe, which hit Austria, Slovakia, Czechia and Poland, the Balkans have seen their worst flood in 40 years. Lives have been lost, and countless people are displaced, unable to return to their homes. ? My page has always been rail-related, so this post won’t be any different. The rail line between Mostar and Sarajevo, linking the two major cities and hosting the country’s most important freight corridor. It also passes right through Jablanica and is now unable to be used to deliver goods and help. From the looks of it, the damage could take years to repair. ? I want to point the attention to Bosnia, because of the poor state in which the country finds itself in. In Austria ????, the western line connecting Vienna to Linz has been severely disrupted. And yet, it will be up and running in a few months’ time. Most lines in Czechia ???? have been recovered. And important construction materials for rebuilding damaged regions, can be transported by rail. In Bosnia ???? most roads need fixing first. ?? ? On the day of the floods, I was scheduled to travel from Mostar to Sarajevo and then on to Belgrade. ?? That didn’t happen, and I watched the tragedy unfold. It’s not letting me go. So, after being stuck in Mostar for a few days, I managed to fly out of the crisis region, thanks to the direct air link the city established with Belgrade. ?? ? And now, it’s time to act! Before the government of Bosnia gets their stuff together and organises aid and the reconstruction of infrastructure, we all can help those in need get medical attention, food and shelter. Pomozi.BA started a successful campaign that has already collected far beyond its goal, but I believe we can do more. I know the people at the organisation personally, and can put my hand in the fire for their authenticity and that the money will arrive where it’s needed. ? You can donate by following this link: https://lnkd.in/dTRbcdsN Or transfer money to the following Pomozi.BA bank accounts with the tagline “Poplave 2024” Bosnia: BA391541802008533048 Austria (and EU): AT642011182266475400 Netherlands (and EU): NL63INGB0675431905 ? Let’s help Bosnia overcome this! ???? #poplave2024 #bosnia #flooding #aid #infrastructure #support #pomoziba
