Last year, Marie Benigno Ablaza, SHRM-TA and I teased interest for our new brand ???????????????? ????????????????: a meet-ups org that creates consistent, local events to San Francisco and Los Angeles for the gaming industry. These events are cost affordable and focus on the love of the craft - we welcome all disciplines, companies, and levels, but we don't pigeonhole you into those categories. When you're at ????????????????, you are valued for your perspective on games, because you love them and you play them. It's our goal to 1) create long lasting community within the industry, 2) elevate the craft through meaningful interactions that lead to innovative ideas 3) spread these events to other cities over time 4) HAVE FUN So, without further ado...it is my privilege to announce that after the hard work of several of our volunteers, we are ready to have our FIRST EVENT in Los Angeles. Promote your Event to the Localvest community! Creating an online event is an amazing way to attract more interest to your deal and connect with potential investors. Here's how you can create an event on Localvest: ?? Step 1: Log into your account on the platform. ?? Step 2: Go to the Issuer Tab and click on Events in the left menu. ?? Step 3: After clicking on Events, you'll spot a "Create an event" blue button on the top right. Click on it to start the event creation process. ?? Step 4: Fill in Event Details and save. ?? Step 5: Go back to your dashboard and open your deal page. ?? Step 6: Within the deal editing options, under "Join Us," you'll find an option to add events. Click on this option. ? Step 7: Select the Event you want to add to your deal page and save it. After successfully adding the event to your deal page, it's time to make some noise! Post about it on your newsfeed and social media platforms. Include relevant details and a catchy caption to make your audience click and learn more. ?? ?? Remember to use eye-catching visuals, such as images or videos, when posting about the event. This will make it even more appealing to your audience. ??

Pretty bummed out about missing the Geeks On The Beach event. ??? I've been hearing from everyone how great it is and why I should join. Over the last year or so, I've been attending more networking events. Before that, I was deep in the trenches with everything we were building at Komento and Inspire. In attending these events, I mostly met great people who understand the day-to-day struggles of founders, which can be strangely comforting. While it's nice to find a "safe" place, you can't spend all your time seeking feel-good environments. There needs to be tangible value from meeting people who can add to your business and vice versa. I'm sure a lot of good business will happen over the next 2 days, but unfortunately, I can't make it this year. ?? With the amount of work we have on our e-commerce business units and a few hundred users waiting for the updated version of our dropshipping platform, it would be irresponsible on my part. If you're there, enjoy and connect! ?? Let your hair down and just be you. Just don't be that person trying to pitch to everyone, please! Have conversations instead of pitching rehearsals. Conversations are a lot more effective. Anyway, that was my morning rant today. Time to get to work. ????♂?
