During Native American Heritage Month, we celebrate the rich history, traditions, and agricultural contributions of our Native American communities. RMA is dedicated to ensuring that citizens of tribal nations have access to USDA programs, especially Federal crop insurance. This year we are proud to introduce our new Tribal Ambassador, Gilbert Louis III of the Pueblo of Acoma tribe. For the next year, Gilbert will engage with tribal members to help them learn how Federal crop insurance can be used a risk management tool for their farm operations. Gilbert will be part of the RMA contingent at the 2024 Intertribal Agriculture Council (IAC) Annual Conference in Las Vegas, NV, December 10-12. Remember to visit him if you attend.
