2024 marks 10 years of Kinetic Seeds. What began as a rallying cry to amplify student voice in service of higher education reform, is now fully woven into our DNA. If I had to sum up what we’ve learned, it’s this: Today's students are the primary bearers of systemic inequities which is why their active participation and inclusion in transformation efforts are critical to creating fair and just learning environments. Simply put: You can not transform what you do not include. What I'm exceptionally proud of is our ability to deeply engage students in meaningful work, ensuring they gain the most from their experiences with us. We have evolved our approach to include students in diverse and significant roles, from providing insights to leading change, and from evaluating processes to becoming true partners and change-agents. Our collaborative process harnesses their unique experiences to tackle the challenges of pursuing a college education. In recognition of their critical contributions, we offer fair financial compensation and ensure they receive the academic and professional recognition they deserve. As we look forward to the next decade, our commitment to elevating and amplifying student voice remains unyielding. Don't let students be sidelined from shaping their future. Empower them to inform and guide institutional transformation. I guarantee you’ll be astonished by the innovation, insight, and drive they bring to the table. Thank you to every student, partner, funder, and supporter who has been part of our journey so far. Your commitment to change have been the driving force behind our success. Here's to another decade of pushing boundaries together. #KineticSeeds #StudentVoice #HigherEducationTransformation #DecadeOfImpact
Join us as we lean our whole-selves into an urgent truth: traditional approaches to student success have long excluded, overlooked—silenced—the voices they are meant to support, especially those from underrepresented and marginalized communities. If you agree, we invite you to check out our approach to supporting student success. It's predicated on the idea that we need to do more than just recognize diversity—we must tackle the root issues of inclusion and the power imbalances that impact who makes it to graduation day and who does not. And that means empowering and engaging today’s students to have a direct impact on shaping the educational programs, policies, and practices that govern their academic journey. If you're an institution grappling with equity gaps and can commit to amplifying the voices of those most affected by structural flaws and inequities, we've got the expertise, the framework, and the passion to guide you.
