Did you know that roughly three out of five fire deaths occur in homes with either no smoke alarms or no working smoke alarms? With the data collected via NERIS, the fire service will have more accurate, near real-time data to understand how that statistic changes over time, how community outreach efforts impact the prevalence of working smoke alarms, and more.
