With approximately 1 month to go until the 2024.1 CCE exam, forward planning should be in full effect for GPs and practices. For GPs who are anticipating a positive result from their Fellowship exams, you may already be considering your next steps. If you plan on relocating back to Sydney or Canberra, we have plenty of options, including DPA exemption opportunities for those still bound by moratorium (see link in comments). For practices who have multiple (or even 1) non-VR GP who is approaching the CCE exam, now is a great time to talk to your GPs about their plans post-fellowship. If they plan on staying with you, would they consider incorporating supervision to their role? Would they like to sub-specialise in a particular area? Or, if they plan to relocate, have you started the recruitment process? Lowest summer registration pass rate in four years

Some of our team is off to Florida today to attend the @bjoremspeech cruise! Bjorem Speech is hosting a 3 night cruise for SLPs to learn from some amazing speakers, including @jenbjorem @cariebert.semimars @grahamspeechtherapy @ckochslp @laurenklineslp @speechtothecore @adventuresinspeechpathology @thelisteningslp While this is an extraordinary (aka AMAZING :) way to get PD hours, it got us thinking - how often do you seek out professional development opportunities? Is it more because you have to for your recertification/license, or because you actually want to? The field of special education evolves so fast that techniques, skills, and technologies become obsolete within five to 10 years. That is why being a lifelong learner plays an important role in the educational process. It helps educators and therapists incorporate new tools and strategies into the learning process to boost students’ learning. Who are you learning from? Any favorite presenters or conferences? It all started some years back, precisely in 2021, when I was usually led by other senior colleagues whenever our chambers are having a moot. My first appearance, despite not being the lead counsel, was so terrifying for me, I was scared of being drilled and probably end up fucking up, well, I prepared well and did my best. The next moot I participated in, I was again led by a senior colleague, at this stage however, I was more confident and gutsy unlike the first one. In all of these I was doing, I was keenly concentrating and learning from the experienced counsels and the judges presiding over the moot, I usually put down the new things I learnt to put it to proper use when the need arises. Fast forward to my second year, I started taking up lead counsel position, leading junior colleagues to moot, at that very moment, I appreciated my younger self for putting my precious time into learning procedures. Currently in my third year, and I have a lot to be thankful for, I am lucky to be surrounded by passionate colleagues who keep instilling this knowledge in me and me always being ready to learn. Apparently, we are doing better off than the way we started, we might still have a lot to learn, but thankfully, we aren't the same persons we were some years back. Until the goal is reached, we will keep striving to achieve growth, both personally, professionally and in all aspects of life. #lmc21dayslinkedinchallenge

Hi guys, When I opened my Laptop, I did not know what to write? Convocation day. Hmm. What's to say now? The excitement for an upcoming academic year? The freezing breeze that brings the notion of a chilly novelty, in the name of the new-ness? Unfamiliar faces hustling out of nowhere, bumping into each other with a Hi and a quick Good - Bye? Are we so bad at telling someone how to depart, that's a good must stay before the bye takes place? Nah. Not the point. Convocation has all of that, but none stays in my memories. Whenever I think of VinUniversity Convocation day, I rarely think of anything else besides the word "challenges". Our school is one of the youngest university in the world. Every academic year comes another burdens begging for solutions, tasks after tasks to let students immerse in a new area, a new field that they never encountered before. This year bears witness to the QS 5star ranking, marking our university on the global map as the fastest university to achieve this goal. With great power comes great responsibilities: Our new challenge is not only on how to uphold those prestigious titles, but the urge to breakthrough the foundation that laid before our eyes, to be the change to change the world. Finally, this is me, dimming myself in the bright sunlight, looking into the faraway land, thinking of the clashing storm that's about to land at my very steps into the future.

Tomorrow, I will facilitate the workshop “Nurturing Intelligence” at the VUB School of Thinking, Free University of Brussels. The post-academic students have already been on quite a self-reflective journey, including the exploration of co-thinking and embodied cognition. The trajectory challenges them to think differently, sharper, more fluidly, creatively, and together. My workshop is a deepening exploration of what it means to be this unique human being in a complex, uncertain and fully intertwined world. We will question how to take care of yourself and each other with respect to all our complex, interconnected #needs (the ongoing dance between safety and growth needs, you can read more via this link: https://lnkd.in/emAJhAQF) and at all levels of being human (exploring different expressions of, let’s say, our focus on self-preservation. Think for example of defending one’s physical integrity or actualizing the value of individual freedom through communal effort), nourishing intelligence multidimensionally and dynamically. What kind of emotional shadows, which might inhibit our full range and depth of intelligence, are insightful to recognize and work through? How do we actualize this - can we, should we? What kind of disintegration, 'darkness' or 'cracks in the dominant social systems' can we welcome?
