I should be tired after gathering with over 1000 of the smartest, most battle-tested practitioners of high performance #healthplans but the reality is beyond I’m waking up in Denver this morning excited about how the #NewHealthcareEconomy has reached a major inflection point. We want to ensure RosettaFest 2025 meets the moment. Two years ago, we gathered in Denver and we were over the moon to have 200+ #HealthRosetta ecosystem people gather. Just 2 years later, that grew five-fold and yet I got countless messages from folks sad they weren’t able to join #RosettaFest a couple weeks ago. With an events maestro like LynAnn Henderson, we don’t stand still. More important than the # of attendees is the transformation on the ground evident in the Rosie Award winning employers and unions that have avoided the #1 comorbitity in ???? — financial toxicity — that is a feature of the old healthcare economy that has as it’s main achievement over 100 million Americans in debt to healthcare and world-leading medical bill driven bankruptcies (with the vast majority of them being people who had “insurance”). RosettaFest has become the #1 market-making event bringing together the true “payors” (calling a carrier a “payor” is like calling H&R Block the taxpayer) — employers/unions and their members with the clinical leaders who’ve built the new healthcare economy already larger than the entire U.S. video game or textile industries. We couldn’t do it with folks from the Direct Primary Care Coalition Free Market Medical Association Direct Primary Care Alliance The OrthoForum and so many others who have realized that the old healthcare economy has become the greatest immediate existential threat to ????. Fortunately, there’s life-changing impact for working middle class Americans when their #healthplan restores the American Dream.

The Texas Assisted Living Association Conference has come to a close! It was great catching up, talking to, and listening to phenomenal industry leaders such as... James Lee, Erin Thompson, Aaron Fish ,MBA, CHS, FMP, Dresden Leebron Cincurak, Brittany Lee M., Nicole Will, Trudy Leal, and so many more! What are some of the topics of discussion? ??♂? 1?? More intimate settings and smaller collaborative groups for conferences (and in-person events) lead to more concrete and actionable outcomes. 2?? Verbally present your ideas, have conversations, and be you... that is how great ideas come to fruition. 3?? A multi-generational point-of-view is being highly adopted across all levels of leadership (c-suite, community leaders, and care partners). 4?? Simplicity for caregivers and a native billing system that speaks to your EHR are top-priorities when it comes to evaluating foundational software solutions. These conferences and in-person events throw gas on the fire for me! I am honored to be a part of guiding the future success of our industry. ?? Flying over California and Oregon back home to Seattle, I can see the big picture. The mountain ranges, rivers, lakes, and urban areas take shape below. ?? In healthcare, we often get lost in the details and small, incremental changes and miss the big picture. If we map out our current system and see where the gaps are, we can implement solutions that address foundational inequities and challenges in access to care. I’m a big picture thinker. I enjoy zooming out and seeing the system as a whole. ?? #PatientCenteredCare has (rightfully) become a mantra for health and social service care delivery. "Our caregivers’ story is also about building collaboration with our community partners, centering health equity in operations, and supporting and developing our caregivers,” said Katrice Lanier, assistant vice president, Talent Acquisition, who oversees caregiver equity. In order to make sure we are best serving our communities and caregivers, we developed these eight guiding principles surrounding equity: -Integrate equity into all operations. -Engage caregivers across the enterprise. -Care for the whole person. -Collaborate with our communities. -Match the work to the expertise. -Establish clear lines of accountability. -Set priorities to support measurable progress. -Simplify an expansive book of work. That coordinated approach means bring partners in health year-round, not just during recognition months.

Phenomenal experience at my first Rock Health Summit. Thankful for all the speakers and attendees who shared their expertise and energy. Katie Drasser reminded us that we’re united by a collective belief that healthcare can be better, especially when we bring more humanity to the equation. André B. and Kirk L. B. were world class connectors, as expected. Panel after panel dropped knowledge, with points like – Enabling individualization is essential to the health experience. Give people the dignity of choice. – Digital health has an outsized impact for marginalized communities. – Niche populations aren’t niche. Maybe they were just previously ignored. – When you are tired, rest—don’t quit. Look up, others are on the journey with you. – While we have to reduce the negatives, the most complete health equity efforts increase the positives. It’s not simply the absence of disparities, but the presence of the conditions necessary for each individual to thrive. We were encouraged not to accept a broken system, but instead to be part of the solution.? I’m proud of how Well contributes to the way forward, and I know we still have much more to do.
