As seen in the image, the tumor exhibited extensive infiltration and significant tissue destruction. For treatment, tumor excision surgery was performed, followed by the application of electrochemotherapy to the surgical margins. Additionally, an **Angularis oris axial pattern flap** was used for reconstruction. ???? ?? The results have been highly satisfactory, with a favorable recovery and excellent tumor control. PRE-OPERATIVE SUPERSELECTIVE TAE [email protected] Preoperative transarterial embolization (TAE) is a valuable technique in managing hypervascular tumors, particularly when they are located close to critical structures. In this case, TAE was performed to reduce the blood supply to the retroperitoneal neuroendocrine tumor close to the descending aorta, making surgical resection safer and more manageable. The whole-body CT scan provided a comprehensive view of the tumor and its vascular supply. Because of the large size and the abundant blood supply to the tumor, we planned transcatheter arterial embolization (TAE) preoperatively, followed by surgical resection of the tumor. The use of coil embolization resulted in a significant reduction in tumor staining, indicating successful occlusion of the feeding artery. During surgery, the presence of the coil in the tumor feeding artery facilitated identification and clipping of the vessel at its proximal area, minimizing the risk of life-threatening bleeding during resection. Overall, this case highlights the effectiveness of TAE in reducing intraoperative hemorrhage and enhancing the safety of surgical removal for hypervascular tumors. It underscores the importance of a multidisciplinary approach involving radiology (diagnostic and interventional) and surgery in the management of complex cases like this one.
