As many of you already know, this is a special year for RBG. Dana Nute is retiring from the company and will be missed dearly by everyone here. Thank you to all of you who made it to his retirement party! It was a wonderful evening full of good friends and very special memories. Continue reading to see Dana’s response to some of the employee spotlight series questions: Who (or what) inspired you to pursue the work you did through RBG? “Construction Management has been my passion and career since graduating from college. It has encompassed oversight of the JFK Library to building in Saudi Arabia. In 2000 I began as Director of Housing Rehab and Energy Conservation for the local Community Action Agency and energy efficiency mixed with construction management became my expanded passion which led to the creation of RBG.” In terms of successes, which accomplishments are you most proud of (professionally or otherwise)? “I view my success as building a company from nothing to the current RBG company with 18 employees. RBG is a team of incredible employees?who enjoy what they do and show it. The work we do assists families and businesses in reducing their carbon footprint and reducing energy costs.” How do you see the building science or sustainability industry evolving over the next 10 years? “ELECTRIFICATION BABY! This is the future?of energy efficiency and the only way to save the world from our spiraling climate hazards” What is your favorite project you have worked on while with RBG? “My favorite project is putting together the sale of RBG as Chase will take over and continue the legacy of RBG. 12 years ago, RBG was an idea and now it is a reality, and I will miss coming to work every day. I have made many friends and contacts over the years and no enemies. Be well.” If you have an important project or memory of working with Dana, we would love to hear about it below!
Dana is one of a kind! He served on LRCD's board for six years. We benefitted tremendously from his expertise, generosity, optimism, and his strong sense of what is right. And his sense of humor! I think one of my favorite memories was when we renovated our old office into a group home for women in recovery. After the renovations were mostly done, he climbed up into the attic and was like, "Oh this won't do, let's get some more insulation up here. I will do the paperwork with the utility to get some incentives to pay for it." And just like that, it was done! Magic. The man knows how to get things done!
In Littleton we pronounce it Dane-er. And congrats. Wicked good job mistah. ??
Congratulations on your awesome career journey. I’m grateful for the opportunity getting to know you and working with you on a few projects.
