LIFE DESERVES SOME SERIOUS CONSIDERATION: In essence, the poem is a reminder to cherish each moment, to seek out opportunities for growth and fulfillment, and to reprioritize those priorities in the joys and happiness and fulfillment above all else. It serves as a powerful reminder to not let ourselves slowly diminish, but rather to live life to the fullest and embrace life with courage, passion, and gratitude. Furthermore from my perspective, the essence of "dying slowly" in this context does not necessarily mean physical death, but rather a gradual decline in quality of life and losing touch with the things that bring joy and meaning. It is about complacency, stagnation, and settling for a mundane existence that lacks passion, growth, and connection. The poem highlights the importance of living a full and vibrant life by engaging in new experiences, nurturing relationships, and embracing change. It emphasizes the significance of self-care, self-awareness, and self-acceptance, and warns against the dangers of self-imposed limitations and negative patterns of thinking. Ultimately, the message is a call to action to break free from the confines of routine, fear, and self-doubt, and to live fully, authentically, and joyfully. It encourages us to pursue

Paragliding Meditation I’m standing on a mountain in Mahabaleshwar, a cool autumn breeze brushing against my face. The air feels different up here—crisp, fresh, alive. At 4000 feet above sea level, I take in the valley stretched out below me. Slowly turning, I see it all—the endless horizon, the golden light, the world at my feet. The wind tugs at my hair, and without thinking, I lift my arms, imagining for a moment that I could take flight. The thought is freeing—leaving behind the weight of everything, even for a little while. I take a deep breath, exhaling slowly, and feel lighter already. I’m strapped into a harness, ready for my first paragliding flight. Behind me, Nikhil, my pilot, reassures me with a tap on the shoulder. The bright blue parachute lies carefully spread out, waiting to carry us into the sky. With two deliberate steps forward, the wind catches, and just like that, we’re airborne. For a moment, I can’t speak. The sensation of leaving the ground is nothing like I imagined—it’s gentle, quiet, and completely surreal. Below us, the valley is wrapped in mist, looking like scattered clouds. In every direction, the view takes my breath away. White-capped mountains rise in the distance, framed by the bluest sky I’ve ever seen. Below, the trees are a patchwork of golds and greens, autumn in full display. Nikhil steers us into a thermal draft, and we glide higher, effortlessly. The silence is profound. Up here, everything feels so far away—problems, deadlines, even time itself. From this height, life looks smaller, simpler, and I feel a clarity I haven’t felt in ages. All too soon, we begin our descent. My feet touch the ground softly, and I take a few steps forward with the momentum before stopping. I look up at the sky, where a hawk is soaring, weightless and free. I smile to myself, knowing I’ll carry the memory of this flight—the freedom, the perspective, and the lightness—with me, no matter where I go. So, here’s my takeaway: Sometimes, you need to rise above it all—step away from the noise and let yourself feel light. Whether it’s through a quiet moment, a deep breath, or something as exhilarating as taking flight, give yourself the freedom to see life from a new perspective. It’s amazing how much clarity and peace you can find when you let go, even just for a little while.
