There will be large supply infused into the Denver market in the coming years, however, a majority of these projects that do not have their shovel in the ground will be holding on for better financing terms or selling their projects. Bridging the Gap in Commercial Real Estate?????? It’s been over a month since I jumped into my new facilities maintenance technician role at Heritage of Clara Barton, and I’ve already gained some serious, hands-on experience. Tackling everything from troubleshooting HVAC issues and replacing thermostats to understanding the ins and outs of building safety systems has given me a whole new perspective. It’s one thing to study commercial real estate in the classroom, but actually getting your hands dirty in the field? That’s a whole different ball game. One thing I’m learning is the importance of being multi-dimensional in any field—especially in commercial real estate. Knowing the numbers, strategy, and finance side of things is crucial, but understanding the technical and blue-collar side adds a whole new layer. When you know every piece of what goes into a property—from the boardroom to the boiler room—you can make smarter, more well-rounded decisions. I’m excited to keep building this dual skill set, combining my education at Rutgers Business School with the hands-on technical skills I’m gaining here and from trade school. It’s all about setting up a strong foundation that will help your see the industry from all angles and, ultimately, in my case, propel me forward in my real estate journey!
