#JobSearch #CareerTransition #JobMarket #WorkFromHome #CareerGrowth Can I just say, I feel incredibly lucky right now! ?? It took me **three and a half months** to finally land my new job, and I just started today. Let me tell you, it's amazing! I get to work remotely, I have **8 paid sick days**, and **2 weeks of vacation** along with great benefits. Seriously, I couldn’t have asked for a better situation, especially considering how tough the job market has been lately. For a while, I was glued to TikTok, Reddit, and YouTube, trying to get a grip on this wildly unpredictable tech market. Looking for a job is a full-time job—and not a rewarding one. That's why I quit. Between adjusting to a new country, navigating a new relationship, trying to make friends in my 30s, receiving constant rejection emails, getting ghosted by recruiters—it all took a toll. I forgot about my mental health. My entire body was struggling, but I just kept pushing. Until I couldn’t. I needed to escape. I needed to stop. So, I did. I went back home—my hometown in Brazil. Back to my childhood bedroom. Back to mom. Yes, I ran to mom. And it was exactly what I needed. In that space, surrounded by love, I got the chance to reflect. I reconnected with the things that truly matter—my family, my values, my community. I realized the immense privilege of being able to take a break of it all. Why am I sharing this? One, because it's #yellowseptember, and two, because, during this month in Curitiba (you should totally visit—it's beautiful!), I realized that in my desperate scramble to apply for any job, I had lost myself. I was just going through the motions, and in the process, I forgot who I am and what I want. Even though I remain flexible and very open to different opportunities, here’s what’s important to me: ? A remote job: I thrive when I can work from anywhere, and I want the flexibility to visit the people I love without sacrificing my productivity. ? A role in the digital space: I want to keep working on/with tech products, whether the company is in tech or not. ? A focus on Customer Experience and Product: Ideally, I'd love to work on projects at the intersection of CX and Product—it's where my skills and passion meet. ? Flexible work arrangements: I’ve set up a company in Australia and I’m open to contract, freelance, or fractional work (whatever the cool kids call it these days). I know some of these wants go against current market trends (cough Amazon cough), and honestly, sharing this feels scary. But I NEED to be honest with myself. Anything less has literally made me sick. So, if you have any leads, advice, or insights, please share. ?? #OpenToWork #NewOpportunities #JobHunting #WomaninTech

Now I have started looking for new openings, I am finding all kinds of stuff around linkedin, some unique, some comic, and some are just weird. Here's a list of things that repel me about a job offer: 1. An international remote (or hybrid) opening, written in a language different from english, especially german companies have this ugly thing. 2. An offer that just speaks about the company or how good is the process, but doesn't include any requirements for the job (How am I supposed to know I'm a fit?). 3. Extra long and specific role titles, leave that for the body and requirements in the message. 4. An incredibly long list of must have requirements and features and experience, specially when is in a juniorish position. 5. Unclear expectations, or a role not well defined. 6. When a role is defined as remote and in the message body you find objections, or when is defined as hybrid and it says, possibility of one work from home day.

How are the arguments given against remote/fullremote (very) bad, or at best (but rarely only) not good enough? Why is remote work good? Why is hybrid not enough (unless that's what the worker want)? Fallacious arguments, everywhere? Lies? Remote Or Lame, why remote ? The list. https://lnkd.in/eQJZtYFC The list, the explanations. Exhaustive? We tried, but of course not. But it's already a first step. #remote #work #remotework #fallacies #job #board #sophism #freelance #fulltime #parttime #internship #permanentposition

Helping business coaches with their emails, landing page, sales copy and social content. Exploring The Fun In DTC Advertising And Marketing || Freelance Copywriter ????
I quit my Job 6 months ago (sep last year). Not because I couldn't answer “yes sir” no more. Not because I couldn't deal with the stress no more. Not because I didn't love the company of my colleagues. But because; - I was in for the experience NOT position - I was overstressing myself - I saw my future fading And I was the youngest among everyone there. My colleagues even advice I quit before It gets too late. Now I work remotely. As a marketing copywriter. But that doesn't mean I'm stress-free. Even as a remote worker, I still; - Answer “Yes sir/Ma” to my clients - Struggle with having the perfect day - Struggle with self doubt and fear of rejection - Deal with making time for watching movies ?? - Deal with project stress (currently dealing with 3 now ??). And the worst of them all. I find it challenging choosing between which client to work with ?? What does this Intel? Simple. Nothing on earth is easy. Corporate jobs are hard. So is working at home. Taking risks are hard. So is depending on luck. Building a business is hard. So is begging on the street. 6 months ago. after quitting my job, I was left depressed. But past forward to today. Here I am Building my community. Support my friends. Sharing my story. And dealing with my stress ?? All because I took responsibility of my actions and decisions and faced my fears. You should too. P.S. What has your experience as a remote worker been? Are you having the perfect working experience or dealing with your stress like me ??

Talented employees are being laid off daily. But guess what? Those of us who have been laid off, are like, "Cool, I'm going to chase my dreams now!" With job cuts happening, people are getting creative. Instead of mindlessly applying to jobs that have hundreds of applicants, being ghosted by recruiters, and checking their email for any hope of going back to a 9 to 5 that they don't want to do anyway, they are diving into their passion projects, finding unconventional ways to make money, and realizing they don't need to be stuck in a hellish grind to survive. And get this—the whole remote work thing? We're keeping it. Nope, not going back into the office for the sake of swiping a badge. Turns out, you don't need to be chained to a desk to get stuff done. People are loving the flexibility, the chance to balance work and life without the whole commute hassle. Plus, passive income opportunities are blowing up! For as many "Open to work" banners you see on this platform, you'll find even more passive income opportunities on Instagram. I make $1 every time someone views photographs I took. I posted one picture of some trees while on a run (oh yeah, doing more of that too since being fun-employed) and I've already made bank since yesterday). So, what's that mean for companies? Well, they better start listening up. Employees aren't settling for less anymore. They know their worth, and they're not going back to old-school ways that don't respect that. It's adapt or get left behind in this new world where folks are calling the shots and chasing their dreams while they're at it. Since being laid off in January I have: ? Written a YA Book that was #1 on Amazon for a week and is now being sold in independent bookstores across the country. The passive income is a perk. ? Discovering unlimited ways to make money that don't involve a boss, a desk, or anything illegal. Hit me up if you're curious. There's plenty for everyone -- and so easy even my mom is doing it. ? Stopped biting my nails because I don't sit, stressed, at a computer all day.

Feeling lost about your next career move? You're not alone. It's easy to feel overwhelmed and apply for every job that remotely matches your experience, or pour your heart into perfect-fit applications and hope for the best. But let's be real, it's all just trading one grind for another. Maybe seeking a new job immediately isn’t the answer. Taking classes to get a technical/professional writing certificate can open up new possibilities and help you stand out in a crowded job market. Or, if you've been dreaming of pursuing a passion project, now might be the time to take that leap of faith. Remember, the ability to make choices is a luxury, and investing in yourself is always a wise decision. You have the power to shape your own future and create the career path that brings you fulfillment. Take the time to evaluate your options and make a plan that works for you. Don't let the fear of the unknown hold you back. Embrace the opportunity to discover your potential and unlock new opportunities. The future is in your hands.
