After four incredible years with Raneem Imam at Remember Media, it’s officially the end of her Hannah Montana era. (Grab your tissues!) No more are the days of her working 9-5 as a social media manager and 5-9 as a musician around Memphis. Though it feels like we are cutting off a limb without her guiding our vision and radiating true leadership for our team, we always knew this day would come. It’s been a shared dream that one day she’ll pursue her dreams of becoming a POP STAR and have to say good bye for her to pioneer the music industry in the same way she’s done with our social media industry in our region. REM truly may not be here today without her. Raneem was the one who spent countless late nights and early mornings with Cori McCleskey during REM’s first two years of business. Problem-solving every area of the business while pushing our team and giving every possible version of support that today makes us one of the fastest growing marketing agencies. She made our dreams come true with her vision for a better future for our city and our city’s creatives - utilizing social media to build our community’s connections and grow our city’s online infrastructure. We truly believe that Raneem’s impact will last decades. In her words: “It’s been my honor to serve my community this way for so long and to see the difference we’ve made in Memphis together. I have so much love in my heart for my SHE-E-O, my team, and my clients. As exciting and adventurous as this new chapter is for me, it breaks my heart to leave such a wonderful workplace behind. I am so grateful for the friendship and leadership through this journey. This isn’t goodbye, just a new beginning.” We love you forever, Raneem Imam! Thank you for every minute you’ve given us. It’s now our turn to support you on your journey as your build your career as an artist. You’re destined for this. You’ve got to move on and be who you are, go on your own way ??

On Monday I attended Niall Horan's concert, a former member of the renowned boyband One Direction ?? As a creative, it was fascinating to observe how an artist Niall has successfully tapped into the power of nostalgia to drive his solo career forward. The audience at the concert, predominantly comprised of women in their 20s, reflects the demographic that formed the core fanbase of One Direction during their heyday. Their affection for the band has provided a fertile ground for Niall to cultivate his solo career. What struck me the most was witnessing the evolution of Niall's brand and how he's leveraged nostalgia to his advantage. By singing Night Changes, one of One Direction's greatest hits and performing it with a fresh perspective, Niall effectively bridged the gap between past and present, appealing to both longtime fans and newcomers alike. From a marketing standpoint, Niall's success underscores the importance of understanding and harnessing nostalgia as a powerful tool for engagement. By making customers feel nostalgic and emotional, brands and artist can forge deeper connections with their audience and foster loyalty. As marketing managers, we can learn valuable lessons from Niall's approach to nostalgia marketing. Whether it's through revisiting past campaigns, leveraging iconic brand elements, or tapping into cultural trends from bygone eras, there's immense potential to create impactful marketing campaigns that resonate with consumers on an emotional level. As a non-fan of the boy band back in the day myself, attending both Niall's and Harry's tours has given me a newfound appreciation for the enduring impact of the so-called "One Direction infection" - as my friend Mar Aguilar Girón used to name it. It's clear that this phenomenon is not over. In fact, it's more alive than ever, with fans continuing to support the individual careers of the former band members. Nostalgia isn't just a trip down memory lane; it's a strategic opportunity for brands to connect with their audience in a meaningful way! #NostalgiaMarketing #BrandEngagement #NiallHoran #OneDirection #MarketingInsights

A pleasant Sunday morning to you! At our Saga complex in Greenfield, (5 unique radio stations under 1 roof in beautiful Western MA) we're gearing up for holiday music and marketing plans for our advertisers. One unique plan we talk to our sponsors about, are holiday greetings. Now, they're not commercials per se, but they can really hit home. As the holiday season approaches, radio becomes a prime medium to reach audiences with heartfelt greetings. A simple holiday message aired over the radio brings warmth and goodwill to listeners, evoking the spirit of the season. For businesses, it’s a unique opportunity to connect with the community on a personal level. Unlike traditional ads, holiday greetings aren't about promoting products; they're about building relationships, showing appreciation, and fostering a sense of belonging. Radio ad greetings also reach people during their commute, shopping trips, or holiday travel, creating memorable moments where a brand’s name is associated with positivity and cheer. These messages stand out amidst the usual rush of holiday promotions, helping brands connect in an authentic, less commercial way. If I can help, [email protected].

How do you link Mary Poppins with Personalisation? ?? With difficulty and whilst having a laugh. But I somehow managed it. Tenuously. Yesterday I closed the Talon. One event: Incentivise in front of 250 loyalty and promotions experts and had a cracking time doing so. My message was clear; don’t be dick. Shoving 10% discounts in front of peoples face as soon as they land on a site is not cool. I was reflecting on the Grammys yesterday. What a show! The clothes! And TBH, I felt kinda glad that I don’t have 17 million people watching me this morning on LinkedIn. There are a few advantages to starting small and having just a few followers watching you. Here are three reasons why: 1. Personalized Engagement - No celebrity can engage personally daily. You can. Make your comments count. Engage meaningfully. 2. Authentic Growth: - You have the freedom to experiment as your true self and appeal to your growing audience. Learn while the stakes are low. 3. Flexibility and Experimentation - Take the great opportunity to discover what truly works for you, and your audience. Try new things and pivot as needed. Appreciate the unique opportunities presented by having a smaller audience. It's a chance to build a strong foundation, focus on meaningful connections and authentic engagement, which sets the stage for sustainable growth and success. Remember: There’s only one Taylor Swift. Be happy for that fact. ******** Hey, I'm Bernadette and I'm giving small businesses some ??in February! DM me if you need help with your LinkedIn content.
