We really do need louder voices for all women. One Loud Voice exists to ensure every, single women is heard, supported and empowered. We need fearless women and brave men to help bring about change in the workplace. So we say, bring on the 'middle-class women of a certain age'. The #WeTheWomen survey offers a compelling insight into global perspectives on women's rights amidst challenging times. Despite facing significant backlash, an impressive 85% of women surveyed across 185 countries are committed to advancing their rights. What's more, a majority (60%) believe that women's representation in leadership roles will see positive strides over the next decade. Over two-thirds of women worldwide emphasize the urgent need for enhanced representation at national and global levels to shape a brighter future. It's inspiring to see that 85% of women identify as advocates for women's rights, showcasing widespread optimism and resilience even in the face of pressing global issues such as climate change and conflicts. The latest report from Powerful Women is out, and it’s a must-read for anyone passionate about gender diversity in the energy sector. The "State of the Nation 2024" summary reveals both the progress that has been made and the challenges we still face in achieving gender equity. Key highlights that stood out to me: 1. Significant increase in female representation in leadership roles. however The energy sector's leadership roles for women are at 24%, compared to 40% in the financial sector. 2. Cultural challenges, unconscious biases, and a lack of mentors are major barriers. Only 15% of surveyed companies have a structured mentoring program for women. 3. Leadership training programs have contributed to a 12% increase in women achieving senior roles within these companies. Let's keep the momentum going!
