?? Interviewing in 2024: "Just 12 interviews, 2 assignments, then..." After 10+ years in recruiting? This hits WAY too close to home. What most interviews look like today: - Scheduling ping pong - Inconsistent questions - "Ugh, did you get my notes?" Candidates are dodging ?? like Mario here Endless obstacles. Random blockers. Pure chaos. This isn't just bad for candidates btw. It's costing your company BIG time: → Great talent lost to slow processes → Bad hires from rushed decisions → Zero objective data to improve → Hours wasted on admin work The bigger problem? Making hiring decisions based on gut feel. Instead of actual data. ?? Quick reality check: The cost of a bad hire = 30% of first-year salary But companies still use: - Memory of conversations? - "Gut feel" decisions - Paper notes ??? Your candidates deserve a great experience. Your company deserves objective decisions. That's why we're building Kula. Because this pain is real. -- ?? P.S. What's the longest interview process you've had?
Keep it simple. Ask them to work for free ??
The main challenges that candidates face are multiple DS/Algo rounds, even after 10+ years of experience. Another problem the candidates face is how to demonstrate the impact they've made, the leadership they've shown, or the complexity of the system they've built in the interview setting. Just curious, how does Kula solve these problems for candidates?
in fact the interview process shouldn't be simple ! ??
I might be wrong but I honestly believe it all begins and ends with the incompetence of hr teams hired by these companies. It is a super important task/position and it seems most of them are completely clueless. Very rarely I’ve seen HR managers/teams that actually know what they’re doing.
I can tell you the shortest. Try naming the wrong company in an email—now THAT’S a cliff dive, or maybe a turtle shell ricochet straight off the map. Pray for me. Looking professional while rocking the attention span of a gnat really should qualify as an Olympic sport.
Hiring isn't a game Don't make your candidates play one
You have no idea how much anxiety you have caused me in just watching that. ??

3 天前To be honest, I just want to dust off our old Nintendo and play for a bit. ?? Jokes aside, as a hiring manager, it’s tempting to rely on gut feel during interviews—it feels natural and saves time. But experience has shown me that many applicants have mastered the art of interviewing, often leaving you unsure if they’ll truly walk the talk once they’re through the door. That’s why I’ve learned to trust the process, no matter how tedious it might seem. It’s always better than ending up with a bad hire.
