In society, it is not uncommon to see individuals abandon one "self" for another, either out of lust, out of ignorance, or, worse - yet admirably - out of circumstance. What essentially is the case is that people become "human" second, and "something else" first (i.e., their occupation, their role, their imagined personality, or whatever their ego demands and mind dictates). It is not unsurprising, then, that when lines are drawn apart, then forced to blur, that that which tread liminalities, more often than not, fail. It is also not shocking, then, that those who prefer choosing duty before existence, become paradoxically both the best contributors of society, but also the worst humans of the world. Just food for thought that came from this read:

Living near loved ones can have numerous benefits for one's personal life. It can provide a sense of comfort and security knowing that family or close friends are nearby in case of an emergency or if one needs support. It can also make it easier to maintain strong relationships with loved ones by allowing for more frequent visits and quality time spent together. Additionally, living near loved ones can be particularly beneficial for families with young children as grandparents or other relatives can assist with childcare and provide a valuable support system. Overall, living near loved ones can enhance one's overall quality of life by fostering close relationships and providing a sense of belonging in a community.

Creator/Host "What's Your Twenty?" Podcast, Public Speaker/Writer, Mental Health Advocate, Certified Trauma & Resiliency Coach, First Responder
I dare you to survive dangerous, difficult, and remarkable experiences and stick around to be able to share the tale afterwards. The severity of experiences that we overcome are beyond significant to recount. When we go through traumatic and harrowing ordeals and come out of it alive, that's a testament to human resilience and the ability to endure and overcome adversity. You and your story have value, and that's worth sharing. #wy20 #livetotell #live #share #sharedexperiences #overcome #adversity #resilience #resilient #endure #ability #overcome #whatsyourtwenty #value #youhavevalue #worth #survive #youareworthy #youcanhandleanything #traumarecovery #idareyou #tellthetale #ptsi #ptsd #cptsd #trauma #traumahealing #tellyourstory #bebrave #becourageous

CeBIL Director -UCPH; Inter-CeBIL PI & Affiliate at LML Cambridge Uni. & PFC, Harvard Law; TUM Global Visit. Prof.; X-officio Advokat AB; WHO/WIPO/EU/national Advisor- IP, Regul. & Ethics in Bioscience, AI & Quantum Tech
Dear network and extended network, Our splendid former CeBIL colleague and regulatory science expert Louise C. Druedahl (now with Novo Nordisk) has written a very impressive, but also heartbreaking chronicle which can be found in the major Danish newspaper Politiken. She describes what it is like to live with a disability in Denmark's current welfare system and about the amputation of welfare which is taking place right now - not only in Denmark but - as far as I know - all throughout Scandinavia and elsewhere. As her former colleague and CeBIL director, I have (in-)directly experienced what Louise had to go through to make simple things happen in both every day private life and as a researcher. It is extremely upsetting. The current system with the harsh and detailed reporting duties requesting the disclosure of far too much intimate information is absurd. We - as a society - should feel ashamed. We need much more solidarity, empathy and understanding. Denmark is of course a very wealthy country and Louise is a highly educated, hard-working top expert. Now imagine what the situation will be like in less ”privileged” settings (not sure if that is the right word) with much less resources. I do not want to imagine. The chronicle is written in Danish and can also be read or heard online (google translate might help though possibly behind a paywall). If you find it relevant or like it, please share the message. https://lnkd.in/dp9V2pGG #dkpol #Danmark #handicap #handikap #pladstilforskelle #v?rdigtliv #velf?rd
