Well said there, l think it's high time we put more emphasis on ZIMCODE especially in the pubic sector. Kuddos to ZINARA for trying to make sure that they try to implement recommendations made by Grant Thornton however there is a long way to go especially on the issue of NRZ. The government ought to fully impliment the ZIMCODE as it will serve as a comprehensive framework for fostering good corporate governance in government institutions , which is essential for the successful and sustainable development of infrastructure projects. Good corporate governance creates a framework within which infrastructure projects can be planned, executed, and maintained effectively. It fosters an environment where all stakeholders can collaborate towards common goals, ensuring that infrastructure development is sustainable, efficient, and beneficial to society as a whole.

The Commission: What does the South East commission mean? What is a commission without works? What has NigerDelta ministry achieved? How do all these commissions created increase the available revenue in the current budget. Are these buildings as hospitals?Empty shells? In a country like Nigeria where the populace is always looking out for good news, it is easy to grab at any straw and our politicians know us too well. They build a marvellous structure, commission it and call it a hospital. Meanwhile, there are no equipments and no doctors. But the people are happy a hospital has been cited at their area. We live in hope. Another would promise to cite an airport and goes out of his way to acquire lands build a tarmac and possibly a shed and commission it. Wao. The whole place is agog. The people are happy that they have an airport. 5 years down the line apart from the private jet that landed on the commissioning and entertainment day, no other aircraft would have landed at the airstrip, no airport because it has none of the required equipments. It hasn't got the standard tarmac. Ok. We live in hope. Ditto the assemblage of a block of buildings as either a school or University without any consideration as to teachers and lecturers to teach. No,we live in hope . Can someone tell me please what a commission is, in this context? EKD

The Caribbean Court of Justice ruling on the matter brought on by the Dominica Coconut Product (DCP) Successors Ltd versus the CARICOM member State of Jamaica is a very welcomed one for the strengthening of CARICOM regional trade and adherence of the rules of the CARICOM common market. It is one that should be welcomed by all of CARICOM including Jamaica, as all members, including Jamaica, can only stand to benefit in the future from such strong and clear ruling for the future viability and integrity of the CARICOM: Caribbean Community Market area.
