As an HR and business owner, it is essential to always be informed of the current employment laws. It will ensure you do not violate employee rights while working for your organisation. One employment law took effect in April 2024 is Carer's leave. This is the leave that caregivers are entitled to once they join the company. The leave is for a duration of one week every 12 months. Another law coming into effect in July 2024 is dismissal and re-engagement. This law protects employees from being threatened with firing and forced to accept less favourable work terms.
