We're HIRING! In the spirit of the team, here's why you might (and might not) want to work with us: ??????: - We're responsible for building out the story of Qualtrics, the long-lasting and legacy building nature of the org, it's AI-centricity, and the way it's giving our customers access to data (and therefore actions) they've never had before, and what it means for the people who work here. - We sit in the People team as an independent arm of the org. So we partner with TA, PR, Internal Comms, Marketing, and many others, but have autonomy by being nested directly under our Chief People Officer - We have a fairly engaged group of people around the world, making our focus on employee generated content one that's been pretty simple to fulfill. - We're focused on multi-touch attribution models for measuring success. While most teams are still focused on "source of hire," we're focused on "brand influence" and seeing that our candidates have interacted with the brand - not just that they applied in the moment - meaning you have a much clearer measure of your success at work. ??????: - We've had a lot of change as an organization - especially over the last year. Our wider team can still be finding its footing again, so sometimes making employee content doesn't resonate. - We're super focused as a business - so you have to go in with your "A game" to get folks to buy in to partnering or doing things like Content Collective. It's not a given. - Folks at Qualtrics are big on understanding *why* - why we're doing something, why something will work, why XYZ hasn't been done. I put it down to the folks we've hired - they're successful, engaged, and used to being some of the best people in the places they work. How do I decide between hiring operational or support staff? Back in September we welcomed Stewart Houston into the team in the newly-created Technical Operations Manager role, and what an impact he’s had! There’s been (and continues to be) a clear improvement in our processes and practices as a result of having a highly skilled person in this role. Now that Stewart’s settled, I’m turning my attention to what our next hire could/should be, and it’s a decision that I always find tricky – technical or support staff? Technical staff are, of course, at the heart of what we do, and each new technical team member brings unique experience and additional technical skills to the service. It’s always very exciting to get a new technical person in, and, of course, they’re a chargeable resource! Support staff, on the other hand, are an expense, but I know that having the right people in roles like Sales, Marketing, and Accounts can free-up my time and/or generate business opportunities. What should Nimbus Blue’s next hire be? It seems to me that, in small business, at least, the revenue is rarely there to hire support staff and it just becomes a “must do” in order to progress the business. Or perhaps I just work better (read as "procrastinate less") when I put myself/payroll under a bit of pressure! #smallbusiness #growingteam #investinpeople
