A bit of light-hearted Friday curiosity from Susannah Finch in our strategy team. It's a classic search engine duel Drake Vs Kendrick! ?? I love how search engine data tells us so much about people's interest in different aspects of a story. It's our go-to data source for planning all marketing and comms #DigitalMarketing #SEO #Content #DigitalPR #HowWeSearch https://lnkd.in/e6ctRnRb
Posting about "bbl drizzy" on LinkedIn was not on my 2024 bingo card ?? What a week it's been for Drake and Kendrick. Their feud has kept people talking all week, and Kendrick has generally been cited as the winner. But what do the general public think? For some lighthearted Friday fun, here's a breakdown on: ?? ?Who has attracted the most search interest? ?? Whose lyrics and song meanings have been searched for more? ?? ?Whose albums have received the most attention during the feud? ? ?Which references and lingo are people desperately trying to understand? ?? ?Of those mentioned in the diss tracks, who is receiving the most attention? Let me know in the comments if you have any questions, or if there's anything else you'd like to see analysed in this way ?? Kendrick is my winner ?? and Meet The Grahams my favourite diss #howwesearch

Incubus re-recorded one of their greatest albums 23 years later. And I listened to it at the weekend. If you're not familiar, Incubus are an American rock band formed in the 90s. Their album Morning View was their fourth album, and one I listened to A LOT at uni. When I heard they'd remade it, I was excited for an excuse to go back and enjoy it all over again. But that's not what happened. I found myself saying: ?? "This isn't how it goes!" ?? "This didn't need changing!" ?? "They've made this song worse!" So I read up on why they'd re-recorded it. It wasn't to polish already great songs. They wanted to show how the songs had evolved after 20 years of being played. Now that made sense. If I look back to something I created at the start of my career, there's no way I'd still see it the same. Understanding that made me look at it in a whole new light. I can enjoy it. I can appreciate the nuance. I can be intrigued by the differences. That's the power of why ?? Knowing why something is happening can totally change how you experience it. Genuinely. For me that's a rock album from uni, but for employees, that's every little thing that impacts their day ?? Let's help them understand the why and give them the very best experience ?? What would you go back and change after 20 years? Might start with my hair ?? #employeeengagement #employeeexperience #powerofwhy
