This new hire is asking too many questions!!! I have rarely seen anyone say that. Most often new hires ask too little so ask more. Here are some things you can do to calibrate yourself: 1. Check the core wiki pages for FAQs? 2. Ask if you're asking too many questions that you should find answers on your own 3. Identify and invest in areas you're asking too many questions in. Don't be afraid to come across as someone who hasn't done their research. Though avoid repeating your questions. You're overthinking. Your team is more forgiving of new hires. You don't know what you don't know. So ask questions and ask them sooner . It's so important for new hires to strike a balance. Asking questions is great, but also taking some time to figure things out on their own can boost their confidence and learning curve. Think of it like this: every question you solve yourself is one step closer to mastering your role!
I was told I ask too many questions by a manager I had early in my career. In hindsight, it was a red flag that it wasn't a good fit.

Document what you've tried. Ask for help. Once you have help ask where it should be documented. Make sure that question never has to bother anyone ever again.
