?? The Story of Santa Claus: A Blend of History, Marketing, and Magic ?? Santa Claus is more than just a symbol of holiday cheer — he’s a fascinating blend of tradition and modern creativity. Did you know? The roots of Santa trace back to Saint Nicholas, a 4th-century bishop renowned for his kindness and generosity. Over time, folklore transformed him into a magical figure who embodies giving and joy. But it was Coca-Cola in the 1930s that gave Santa his now-iconic look. Illustrator Haddon Sundblom created the jolly, red-suited figure that has become synonymous with Christmas. Why it matters: Santa is a reminder of how powerful storytelling and branding can be. His evolution from a historical figure to a global cultural icon shows the impact of creativity, consistency, and connection. What we can learn: 1?? Generosity builds trust – Whether in life or business, giving without expecting in return creates lasting relationships. 2?? Consistency shapes identity – Santa’s consistent image for decades shows the power of a clear, enduring message. 3?? The magic of joy – Small acts of kindness, much like Santa’s gifts, can bring light to others. As we wrap up the year, let’s channel a little Santa spirit in our lives and work: spread joy, inspire others, and create a legacy worth celebrating. ??? Christmas is a special time for family, especially our beloved grandparents here in South Central Pennsylvania. This year, let's make their holiday unforgettable at home. ?? Here's how you can create a heartfelt celebration: 1?? Personal Touch: Decorate with family-made crafts and photos. It’s amazing how personal touches add warmth. 2?? A Stroll Down Memory Lane: Gather old home videos or photos and spend time reminiscing. It’s like a trip back in time for everyone. 3?? Favorite Foods: Cook a meal using grandma or grandpa's favorite recipes. The power of food lies in its ability to bring people together. 4?? Virtual Family Gathering: For those who can't be there in person, organize a video call. It bridges the distance and keeps everyone connected. 5?? Simple Joys: Remember, sometimes the best gifts are just your presence and laughter. Make sure to share both in abundance. A little effort goes a long way in creating joy and cherished memories for our grandparents. How are you planning to celebrate with your family? ??

Santa Claus: The Journey from Legend to Icon ??? I’m fascinated by how Santa Claus evolved into the global symbol we know today. Let’s clarify the story and highlight the incredible branding behind it: 1?? The Origins: Santa Claus originated from St. Nicholas, a 4th-century bishop known for his generosity. Over time, European traditions and stories brought this figure to life as a symbol of giving. 2?? The 19th Century Transformation: The famous poem “A Visit from St. Nicholas” (1823) by Clement Clarke Moore introduced many modern traits, like Santa’s reindeer and his chimney visits. Later, illustrator Thomas Nast gave us the bearded man in a red suit. 3?? Coca-Cola’s Influence: In 1931, Coca-Cola didn’t create Santa Claus but played a significant role in standardizing and popularizing his cheerful, jolly image. Through Haddon Sundblom’s illustrations, Santa became the warm, red-suited icon we now associate with the holiday season. This journey of transformation is a masterclass in branding: creating emotional connections, maintaining visual consistency, and evolving with the times to stay relevant. Santa Claus is proof that a story, when told well, can transcend time, cultures, and industries. ?? Wishing you a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! May this season bring you joy, warmth, and inspiration for the year ahead. Let’s continue to build our own stories that leave a lasting legacy. #santaclaus #holidaybranding #brandevolution #storytellinginbusiness #merrychristmas #happyholidays #seasonofgiving #brandmanagement

Christmas Ornaments: A Story of Time and Love Today, we put up our tree. There’s always something special about unboxing those ornaments and rediscovering the memories tucked away for a year. Each one tells a story—a snapshot of a moment in time. There’s the reindeer with wobbly antlers, made by tiny hands when they were just 5 years old. The glittery snowflake from second grade. The ornament they begged you to buy during a family trip. As the years go by, those same kids grow up, and the tree starts to hold more than just their childhood—it holds their journey. One day, you might even hang an ornament celebrating their wedding, another chapter in the family story. Ornaments aren’t just decorations. They’re connections to our past and reminders of the values and traditions we hold dear. They reflect what matters most—family, love, and the legacy we hope to carry forward. At Beese Fulmer, we believe that legacy isn’t just about what you leave behind; it’s about what you create together, here and now. That’s why we encourage families to think about their values and define their unique legacy with a family charter. Just like the ornaments on your tree, a charter captures the heart of your family—ensuring your story continues for generations. This Christmas, as you decorate your tree, take a moment to reflect on the memories you’ve made and the legacy you want to build. If you’re curious about how a family charter could bring your vision to life, we’d love to help: Why Your Family Should Create a Family Charter. Here’s to celebrating love, tradition, and the stories that make your family unique—one ornament at a time.

*Do not pluck the yellow leaves on the branch,* *One day they will fall by themselves.* *Sit with the elders of the house, talk,* *One day they will automatically become silent.* *set them free,* *let it spend,* *Let live as you please,* *One day they will leave everything for you.* *Don't hit them again and again, they repeat the same things,* *One day you will yearn to hear their voice, when they become silent.* *Take their prayers as much as you can,* *bowing down, touching feet,* *One day they will automatically become images,* *Then there will be no point in apologizing.* *Don't say anything to them in front of others, let them eat, at will,* Then behold, they will not even come to eat,* No matter how many times you celebrate their anniversary.*

It is that time of year again for me. As some of you may or may not know I transform and change my appearance to bring magic and joy to as many people as possible. The transformation requires me to grow a majestic beard, change its color, and become Santa Claus. Some say it's good, some bad, and others are indifferent about the beard in the workplace. Becoming Santa though has changed how I approach many scenarios, being a seller made me a better Santa, and being Santa made me a better seller. 1. Took improv classes and learned how to tell stories. If you think a boardroom with C-Levels is tough try being in a room with 30 children all asking you rapid-fire questions, talk about thinking on your feet. 2. Listening to understand. I hear thousands of lists every year from children and I have to be able to respond accordingly. I have found myself listing with more intention since becoming Santa Claus. 3. Organization and Team Work. Because Santa season is short (54 days) and we still put 100% into our regular jobs my wife and I have to be extremely organized. She manages my calendar and the overall running of the business, I handle our CRM and invoicing. 4. Joy. Being Santa has made a lot less of a crotchety old man and more like Santa Claus himself. Do I still get upset? Absolutely, I just handle those scenarios with a lot more patience and humility. 5. Connect with people. I will interact with as many if not more people than most people during the 54-day Santa season than most will in an entire year. I love connecting with people and making them feel like they are the center of the world even if it is just for a few minutes. #CorporateBeards #ProfessionalBeards #SantaClaus #HolidaySpirit #GoldenRule

Beautifully written and well said.
This morning, like most mornings, I arrived at the office under the cover of darkness. I had spent Sunday on the Gulf Coast of Florida talking about the most important things in life, the people we love. How we can easily be distracted by other issues, convinced they are more important than people...how money can alter our thoughts and actions, and how the big picture and the small picture are so intimately tied together. Most of us want a better, more caring world where everyone can live with dignity and respect. Where no one lives with fear and want of the basic things needed for life. Well, isn't that the big and small picture wrapped into one? If each of us took care of our family, our loved ones, checked in on our neighbor, isn't that the world we would have? If we all do what we can to respect the dignity of others at the most local level, everyone would be covered as everyone is local to someone else. By treating those you love well, and them treating those they love, we build that global bridge from outstretched hand to outstretched hand...no fists, just open palms offering a hand. There is no bullying or name calling in love, there is no violence in caring, there is only good will and joy in the act of sharing. As the days begin to grow longer in the Northern Hemisphere, as we gather with those we love over the next 10 days in preparation for the new year, turnoff the media, envelope yourself in the warmth of those you are with and open a new chapter in a very long book of humanity and let the sun in, the sun in the sky, the sun in your heart, the sun in the eyes of those you share this time with. By being kind, and welcoming the kindness of others we can, each of us, change the world over the next few holi-days.
