HBCUs are very important to me. The first campus I ever saw was NC A&T. I have fond memories of going to watch my Dad at step practice on St. Aug's campus. My first full-time job out of graduate school was at NCCU. I have a deep reverence for their history, a strong belief in their necessity, and an undoubtable commitment to showing their relevance. Yesterday the Triangle DEI Alliance and Greater Raleigh Chamber hosted a conversation with some phenomenal HBCU graduates, advocates, and enthusiasts about how HBCUs contribute to the Triangle’s phenomenal diverse workforce. Let’s continue to partner with HBCUs, large and small, public and private - and keep our workforce strong! The work continues! ??????
