Transfer of technology from Great Britain to America in the middle of World War-2. One of the best engineering stories of the War. Hundreds of blueprints had to be redone due to the changes in fastener standards, assembly methods and tolerances. Mind boggling amount of mechanical engineering in the middle of the war for an engine which won the Allies the War. A lot of respect to the engineers who were part of the program and managed to pull this off. Why did they need to redone drawings? The UK would have used Imperial measurements in the 30s/40s as the US still does.
