I think we all know the dangers of polarisation on topics that easily get us hot under the collar. And experience it directly ourselves when we're pulled one way or another, even if we'd like to believe we're open-minded and inclusive. These topics are often the things we most need to address and transform, and the ones that are the most difficult to shift. Entrenched interests, power games and races to the bottom, or simply good old human belief that certain views (ours) are right and others are wrong. I'm clearly opinionated and working daily on being less so. Ironically, my work has often been about helping teams in conflict to get beyond their own territories by moving to higher ground, so that we can all see the lay of the land and a common direction. With different routes to get there. I love this simple, powerful, beautifully made video series about getting beyond our boundary lines. Perspective is a fascinating concept that shapes how we see the world and interact with it. That is enough reason why you should listen to different perspective but be selective in application.

The real value is exposed in the real world.
