NVIDIA just posted a 78% revenue jump and we’re calling it ‘solid, not spectacular’—which says everything about where they are these days. Sure, margins took a knock, hyperscalers might be cooking up their own chips, and China’s still a headache, but apparently none of that matters when enterprise and sovereign AI demand is blowing the doors off. NVIDIA gives solid…if not spectacular…numbers. That’s if you no longer see +78% revenue as spectacular! We’re all so used to beats and raises and more than doubling in growth for the world’s most valuable company. Sometimes we forget - and as the very spectacular Ian King reminds us - $39B revenue in a single quarter is more than Nvidia made in an entire year back in 2022. The executive team did a good job talking up “amazing” growth, the ramp of #blackwell chips, the new “scaling laws” associated with reasoning models - pushing back those compute anxieties from #DeepSeek. They explained away the knock to margins amid the Blackwell rollout and promised a return to “mid-70s” by year end. But questions that continue to plague the company - dominance of hyperscalers as customers that are busy making their own chips - China export limitations Both were shrugged off with a picture painted that demand is growing so fast from enterprise and sovereign AI that these can be overcome. But clearly frustration remains that sales could be higher to China. The market now needs to digest the numbers - with after hours trading remaining pretty stable. All eyes on the opening trades tomorrow. And all eyes on#GTC event later in March when they discuss new innovations like the Vera Rubin GPU architecture. Lmk what you expect.
