By all means, we define Data today as a valuable asset or commodity, especially in the digital realm. In the early days of data advancement and Big Data, the world was fascinated by how accessible data is and how it will become an undeniable currency and there’s a valid point to it. What is better than holding an important piece of information that allows you to plan a few steps? But there’s a caveat to it. A proud builder would tell you it’s not about the hammer, it’s about how you use it. A refined jeweler would tell you it’s not about how much Gold you have, it’s how creative you are with it and how you craft it. A talented Formula 1 racer would tell you it’s not about the equipment or the car, it’s how you drive that makes the difference. One of the major obstacles today for businesses is that although they have the tools to generate the data they need to make better decisions, way too many times they find it hard to know what they should be doing with it. Here’s the reason for it: Most analytical tools today stop at the first step of the customer experience analytics journey what we call the ‘What Happened’. It shows what customers on the website are clicking on, where they click on, and when they leave. With a substantial growth in online sales globally it’s more and more challenging for businesses to understand what trends are consumers adapting to and how these consumers are changing with time. Thus, the reason why the customer experience analytics journey has become more extended. Digital Experience Analytics has become a more prominent option for businesses: It allows the extension of the analysis for a better decision-making process.
