In a partnership that is part of a long-standing relationship with?Los Alamos National Laboratory, we have been working?on new methods to make quantum computing operations more efficient, and ultimately, scalable. The underlying results and details are linked in the pre-print below – in essence we are using techniques taken from a discipline referred to as “Symmetric?Topology” to enhance a quantum processor’s chance to gain more information from fragile and restricted quantum states. This technique offers an advance that will benefit the entire quantum computing ecosystem and is only possible today thanks to the unique benefits or our H-Series quantum processors. ? Our unique qubits continue to possess the best fidelities ever recorded in any commercial system, while providing all-to-all connectivity and mid-circuit measurement – features not available to the vast majority of other quantum computers. Having solved the critical path that will allow us to scale to fully universal fault tolerant computers, the techniques that we are disclosing today will continue to support the industry-leading work of our customers and collaboration partners, as well as continuing to accelerate the work of our own teams. ? Elvira brings a unique combination of technical and business expertise, built up over years leading teams to develop groundbreaking techniques in the industrial application of quantum computing. Ranging from orchestrating the very first quantum computing exploration to simulate materials that can be used for carbon capture and sequestration to work on catalytic chemical reactions in hydrogen fuel cells –?a key development for the future of sustainable transportation, Elvira has a number of "firsts" that it would take a whole section of the quantum ecosystem to match, never mind surpass. ? We are thrilled that Elvira, who will report directly to our Founder and Chief Product Officer?Ilyas Khan, has chosen to join Quantinuum, where she will work closely with our customers and partners to explore industrial routes toward quantum advantage.
