?????????????????????? ???????????? ??????????: ?? ???????? ???? ?????????? ?????????????? ???????????? The 25th of May, 2020, is a date I will never forget. The tragic death of George Floyd was a powerful reminder of the systemic racism that continues to plague our society. This moment ignited a global movement and underscored the necessity for each of us to stand up and speak out against racism. As we reflect on the impact of George Floyd’s death, it’s crucial to continue the conversation and find actionable ways to combat racism in our communities and workplaces. I encourage everyone to watch this insightful Q&A with Torin Ellis, a tribute to George Floyd, which delves into these very issues. Think about how you can be a part of the change: - ?????????????? ????????????????: Learn about the history and ongoing impact of racism. - ?????????? ????: Use your voice to call out injustice whenever you see it. - ???????? ????????????: Implement anti-racist policies in your workplace, support organizations fighting for racial justice, and engage in community initiatives aimed at equity. Let's honor George Floyd’s memory by committing to real, lasting change. Each step we take toward mitigating racism brings us closer to a world where equity is the norm, not the exception. #GeorgeFloyd #Racism #Diversity #Inclusion #Leadership https://lnkd.in/eZVAc_JA

I am thinking out loud about witnessing the evolution of Black entrepreneurial excellence in Shreveport at the Humor and Harmony Festival. This weekend was more than just entertainment—it was a masterclass in modern community investment and cultural adaptation. It is fascinating to see how group economics and visionary leadership principles continue to shape Black empowerment, from early 1900s education initiatives to today's entertainment industry. #BlackEntrepreneurship #CommunityInvestment #HumorAndHarmonyFestival #50Cent #EconomicEmpowerment"

“As we reflect on the significance of Juneteenth, let’s also commit to the ongoing work of promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion in our workplaces and communities.” I couldnt have said it better. The significance of today is not to be taken lightly. #juneteenth #freedom #freedomday

Happy Juneteenth!!! Today, we commemorate a pivotal moment in American history—Juneteenth, the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States. On June 19, 1865, Union soldiers arrived in Galveston, Texas, to deliver the news of freedom, two and a half years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed. This day marks a profound moment of liberation and the beginning of a long journey toward equality and justice. Juneteenth is not just a celebration of freedom, but a recognition of resilience, culture, and the enduring spirit of African American communities. It’s a day to honor the contributions, creativity, and strength of Black Americans throughout history and today. From the arts to sciences, from entrepreneurship to social justice, Black excellence continues to shape and inspire our nation. As we reflect on the significance of Juneteenth, let’s also commit to the ongoing work of promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion in our workplaces and communities. Let’s learn, grow, and stand together to create a future where freedom and equality are truly universal. #Juneteenth #FreedomDay #CulturalSignificance #Equality #Inclusion #BlackExcellence

Take a look at this image. The British newspapers have decided to report on black players in the England team in a manner that perpetuates negative stereotypes. The racism in British media has been ongoing for generations, and it's time to hold them accountable. Bukayo Sakha plays for Arsenal, a 22yr old boy! Yet one of our best and most promising home grown talents, yet he only came on as a substitute for 20mins, yet he is the one that hits the headlines! We need to look at the people who own the British media and expose their constant agenda of racism, hatred and division. This underscores the importance of race equity training and race awareness. Don't let this continue in your organisation. Get essential training to become more empathetic, less racist, and more aware, both as individuals and as an organisation. Join the movement for change. This is significant. When tackling a problem, you first need to name it. “Anti-Black racism” is the first crucial step. Next, is hearing from the very people affected by the problem. “The Black Community”. Third, it needs to be multi-pronged. Anti-Black racism is present in all spheres of society: schools, housing,health-care, social services, public safety workplace, justice system and government. Anti Black racism is rooted in the legacy of the transatlantic slave trade and subsequent de jure and de facto segregation. What the city of Toronto is doing is unparalleled in Canada. As someone experiencing and combating anti Black racism on a daily basis in a space where its government official policies are rooted in the denial of the existence of the notion of “systemic racism” and that anti-Black racism is an “imported” American idea which does not apply here, I feel as though I’m living in a time warp.
