Last week, I attended the Annual Rehabilitation and Community Providers Association (RCPA) Conference in #Hershey, PA where I was able to meet Healthcare Industry Heavyweights: Pictured here are Fady Sahhar, PhD and Director of the Physical Disabilities & Aging Division of RCPA, Juliet Marsala Deputy Secretary of the Office of Long-Term Living, Department of Human Services (DHS), Anna Keith, Vice President of LTSS at PA Health & Wellness, Centene Corporation, Dr. Larry Appel, SFHM Medical Director, DHS, and Dr. Jennifer Dragoun, Senior Medical Director of UPMC Health Plan. In this session, Juliet reviewed OLTL department-based updates, objectives, and priorities for our 2024/2025 fiscal year, Anna discussed the importance of value-based partnerships, Dr. Appel and Dr. Dragoun reviewed the Women's Health Initiative and using data to drive better results, and Dr. Dragoun concluded with a review of their Fall Risk Reduction Initiative and results. ? ? Did you know that every 20 minutes, an older adult dies from a fall!? ?Our team at Pyramos Software provides solutions with Invidyo Health that reduce the risk of falls and medical emergencies and provides swift response in case of emergencies. ?We use #AI - powered technologies with built-in privacy protection to provide 24/7 support with assistive technologies and remote patient monitoring, with a fully trained clinical staff monitoring alerts. ?These services integrate with MCO processes and offer users peace of mind with the ability to detect and respond to falls, analysis to prevent falls, and further features to detect coughing, crying, the ability for users to verbally ask for assistance and even monitoring for stress when non-verbal. ?We are beta-testing seizure detection as well. Statistics show that older adults who have fallen in the past have twice the chance of falling again. ?We are here to prevent the first fall from happening and to significantly reduce repeated falls from occurring. ?
