A child's trust is one of the most precious things in the world, and when it’s broken by those meant to protect them, the impact is devastating. Did you know that nearly 1 in 4 children experience some form of abuse before they turn 18? This alarming statistic highlights a serious issue: the systems and individuals meant to protect our youth are failing too often. When children see that #accountability is not upheld, it not only harms them but also sends a dangerous message that justice is selective. This erosion of trust can have long-lasting effects on their #emotional and #psychological well-being. We must be vigilant and proactive in ensuring that our laws, policies, and societal norms prioritize the safety and protection of our children.
