We have so much love for our phone bankers!! They have been working long shifts several times a week and reaching thousands of voters across Colorado, Texas, and Pennsylvania! Here's some words from them: "I would say that today has been inspiring in that a lot of the callers I was able to speak with had already voted. Also, I would say that the PA Phone Bank team has also been an inspiration and the commitment they have shown over this campaign cycle has been motivating! We have been doing a lot of double shift days, and the team has still shown up and threw down hard this campaign cycle!" - Stephanie, PA "We are making such a difference as we talk to folks in North Philadelphia. Politicians sometimes ignore this neighborhood, and we are finding these amazing people are so savvy about issues and they lift each other up. They are community builders and they could teach us! I have found so much joy in working hard in this campaign!" - Susan, PA "Go Vote! There's still hope!" - Jessica E, TX Photo is from a Colorado phone bank earlier today! #PWNVotes

Election anxiety? Turn off the news and pick up your phone! ?? Every vote matters and you can help encourage turnout in swing states. I spent a few hours phone banking with SURJ today – here's the first key tip from their training: have people articulate in their own words why this election/voting matters and what's motivating them to vote. Why? Motivation is most effective when it's intrinsic. Whether you're phone banking, texting friends and family, or posting on social, encourage people to share their why. So – what's YOUR why? Here's a link if you'd like to sign up to make calls tomorrow: https://lnkd.in/g6nHM5Zn

???? Captain of my first phone bank! Dialing in to support voters in this consequential and overwhelming time was everything: voices ready to make a difference, the gratitude of volunteers sharing crucial info, and yes—the inevitable hang-ups and “hostile” conversations because, well, humans ??. I may speak to thousands for a living, but this one struck a new chord. Tech Q’s? Nope, not my lane! But guiding folks and joining in this highest civic calling - I got that! As peers, colleagues and work friends, we all have ways to make an impact beyond our day-to-day roles. Our voices and time can influence the future of our teams, industries, and communities. Do you have a plan to help shape what comes next? Here’s a checklist to get started: ?? Do you have a voting plan? ?? Do you know where your polling site is? ?? Are you informed about your local ballot? ?? What are your early voting options? Visit Vote.gov to ensure you’re ready to vote on or before Tuesday. Message me if you want more info on phone banking! #phonebank #phonebankcaptain #everycallcounts #civicengagement #futureofwork #vote

.https://lnkd.in/gdBgr9Aa My experience phone banking was slightly different. Of the more than 1500 voters I spoke to or called, using the Democrats' phone banking software, no more than 10 people hinted at their anger towards Kamala, and mostly in the beginning of her campaign. Over the course of the last more than 6 weeks (maybe 3 months I am not sure), closer to the end, more than just I, was sure that Madam Vice President Kamala Harris would win in Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. She was also right there in AZ and NV, certainly in all the swing (NC, GA) and other states (NY, CA) we spoke to voters too (not just me - the atmosphere in the phone bank rooms were celebratory and jubilant). Trump was nowhere in the picture ON THE PHONE, and nor were his "millions of supporters" at his rallies. He seemed to not mind. Trump even said after this election, you need not ever vote again and waste your time voting. Perhaps he meant since he ran against Hillary Clinton. I now know that Kamala was not defeated by fair means. Madam Vice President Kamala Harris was defeated by foul means - just as the wives who have been cheated on with next wives, just as the IRS (taxes for over 10 of the last 15 years) and more than 3500 vendors (more than one NY voter told me, "We know what the rest of the country does not know. Trump never pays his bills to small business vendors."). This was an election he could not afford to lose, as the alternative with losing, was prison, as he was running as a convicted felon, awaiting sentencing who had publicly threatened all judges into not making timely decisions or sentencing him. For him, inexplicably (or perhaps not so inexplicably) the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, was apparently, unable to use his discerning powers of law and order and justice to determine whether Trump is legitimately a patriotic person standing up to the all-pervading, unmitigated cruelty and evil of this country (no), or a crook&wrote a blanket immunity precedent for ALL ACTIONS carried out while he was president, the last time. Perhaps not so inexplicably? Consider who has secrets that they do not wish to come out if Kamala was elected. We do not know who unleashed two pandemics - one viral, and one of biological weapons upon American citizens and the world; yet; and why they did it. We do know it is important for Russia to control their relationship with the US, so they can win the Ukraine war & continue to get weapons from here to sell to India, Pakistan and China (as they have done for many years). We also know that CCP invested 230 billion USD into Mr. Putin, and that they own North Korea's leadership and nation. The electoral cheating was nation-wide, in every state, pervasive and deep. But the depth & breadth of cheating immediately makes me think it was not necessarily just a boots-on-the-ground operation. Someone hacked into the machines & changed votes.

Don't Sample the Kool Aid, There's No Free Lunch For those lacking an attention span, this is in one segment. Way back about 6/21/24, I say way back because it depends on what you have been doing or have been subjected to in the interim, I was in Walmart looking at designer clothing, high dollar furniture, and expensive jewelry , actually getting dog food, when this dude, we'll call him Greg, asked me if I wanted a free phone.?Greg said he was representing Walmart and his company, Premier Corporation, I believe, in a promotion involving Walmart, AT&T, and Verizon??Being skeptical, I posed a few questions and Greg's responses were immediate, positive, and quite attractive.?For example, he said I could get four lines with AT&T or Verizon for $90 a month, that I could get four iPhone 15 Pro Max phones for free, and that the service would be 'unlimited talk, data, and test'. While this sounded a bit far-fetched and even suspicious, I gave the silver-tongued devil the benefit of the doubt and took a sip.?It has now been (7/5/24) over two weeks and while the numbers were ported over to Verizon and I received a plain iPhone 15, this has been an absolute?nightmare, nothing else has materialized and won't.?Instead of $90 a month, the cost will be $205, the phones are certainly not free, there is a monthly cost for each for some three years.?The promotion, contrary to Greg's snake oil presentation, does not include the 15 Pro Max series without additional costs.?Greg disappeared from the scene after telling me I would receive at least $1000 for my time and trouble and then an attractive woman was sent to pacify me, but I remain unpacified. This , the unfinished product, the progeny of the crossing of a Chinese cluster screw and an Oklahoma goat roping has wasted at least 45-50 hours of my time hanging out in Walmart, from whom I've asked for a logo shirt, to hours on the phone with Verizon, and a wasted 65 mile round trip to a Verizon store where I told the clerk what I had been told, and I thought he (masculine pronoun without permission) expected me to follow up with "Take me to your leader."?But he didn't ask and we don't have one, so there. I called the pinhead's parent company several times and no one would speak with me.?I was eventually given a name and was told he (masculine, again) would call me, and I am so glad I didn't hold my breath.?It appears these folks are disreputable, have little to no decency, no real concept of honesty, and push the envelope as far as accuracy, candor, and propriety.??Other than that and a tendency to embellish to the point of mendacity, they seemed like nice enough folks and are believed to be good cooks. Current plans are to invest another few hours to returning to my previous carrier, to diss these mendacious pinheads on Yelp, Facebook. LinkedIn, and with the BBB, for a start.?Right now it's Octopus 3, Don 0.

?? "The American Dream shouldn’t come with a hidden agenda or unexpected fees." Yet, nearly 15 million families—predominantly Black, Hispanic and/or low-income—have limited formal access to the banking system, largely due to the rise of extractive fee schemes, from overdraft fees to insufficient funds fees. For Capitol Weekly, Roosevelt's President & CEO, Felicia Wong, and SEIU's President, April Verrett, argue for creative action to tackle this problem, specifically pointing to public banking options like #CalAccount as apt solutions. "Tackling generational poverty and closing the state’s widening wealth disparities will take bold, creative action. By implementing CalAccount, California can give working families access to their own hard-earned money without fees or penalties – infrastructure that is sorely needed to build an equitable, just, and inclusive California economy." #WednesdayWisdom: No two people will ever have the same views about money. Doesn’t matter if you’re married, best friends, or identical twins— our view of money doesn’t match yours, and your view doesn’t match ours. Period. Keep that in mind the next time you are about to launch into an argument over the credit card bill with your spouse. Or the next time you start to judge someone for the car they drive. Or the next time… well, really, just the next time you think anything about anyone’s relationship with money at all. Other people’s behavior might seem ludicrous to you, but that’s at least in part because they’re not you. They don’t think about money the same way you do. In fact, nobody does. When it comes to how we think about money, all of us are an N-of-1.

?? "The surest way to ruin a man who doesn't know how to handle money is to give him some." - George Bernard Shaw Here’s a funny (and slightly embarrassing) story from my childhood! ?? When I was 5, I really wanted an ice cream because my friend had one. It cost just ?1, but I grabbed a ?100 note from the top of the fridge (because I knew that’s where my parents kept it sometimes). I bought my kulfi, enjoyed every bite, and completely forgot to ask for my ?99 change! ?? When my parents found out, I got a good scolding for losing ?100 over a ?1 ice cream!???? . . . . Moral of the story: Start teaching your kids about money early! ???? It's like giving a cat a credit card—chaos is guaranteed! ???? Kamala Harris: A Front for Big Money? Uncovering the Connections with George Soros and OneWest Bank As we approach the November Presidential vote, I’ve found to my horror that Kamala Harris has been closely tied to George Soros, who financially backed her campaign for California Attorney General. Harris returned this favor by choosing not to pursue a fraud case against OneWest Bank—a bank in which Soros was a major investor. Let me make this clear: Kamala Harris has consistently acted as a front for big money and industrial power, with no independent political agenda of her own. Her history, stretching back to her connections with figures like Willie Brown, suggests she has been strategically placed to serve the interests of those who support her. In 2013, attorneys in the California Attorney General’s office documented evidence of alleged illegal foreclosure practices by OneWest Bank, recommending a civil enforcement action. This evidence suggested OneWest was involved in practices such as backdating documents, making unlawful bids at foreclosure auctions, and breaking notification laws. Despite this, Kamala Harris declined to pursue the case, shielding the bank and its influential backers, including Soros, from accountability. This lack of action on Harris’s part is not simply a matter of oversight; it reveals a pattern of prioritizing powerful interests over public justice. With voters soon heading to the polls, it’s essential to see Harris for what she truly represents in the political landscape.
