Last year, I made it to the final rounds for five positions in just two months. Each opportunity required hours of preparation, intense focus, and multi-hour interviews with entire teams. Two companies even asked for references and onboarding details—but none extended an offer. ?? While the experience was challenging, it taught me invaluable lessons: 1?? Networking Is Key Of those five final rounds, four were referrals I secured through networking on LinkedIn. Building connections and having advocates inside companies makes a significant difference—more than cold applications ever could. Invest in authentic relationships, and don’t hesitate to ask for guidance. 2?? Final Rounds ≠ Guarantees Getting to the final stage feels like you’re almost there, but it’s just another step. Companies often evaluate multiple candidates even at this point. 3?? Prepare Without Burning Out Juggling interview prep with personal well-being is essential. Remember: rest fuels performance! 4?? Cultural Fit Is a Two-Way Street Use final rounds not just to impress but to assess whether the company aligns with your goals and values. 5?? Mentoring and advising emerging tech professionals is immensely rewarding ?. Especially so, knowing what a difference it makes in their professional lives.
