Puremaxx Filtration Solutions is driving a revolution in the HVAC filter industry. This is only 1 way that we can help you save on filter changes. According to National Air Filtration Association - NAFA, the upfront cost of the filters is only about 18.5% of the total life cost associated with the filter. That means a $3 filter to purchase is actually costing you over $16 in its usage period. ??

Did you know HVAC units come in all sizes? From cozy little ones for homes to giant ones that could rival a house in size! Imagine stepping into a mall or a skyscraper; those places need air handlers that can move up to 100,000 cubic feet of air per minute. And that's just the beginning! Think about hospitals and data centers. They've got some serious air-moving muscle, ensuring everything from patient rooms to servers stays just right. And let's not forget about the big players in universities and government buildings, where air handlers can handle an impressive 300,000 cubic feet per minute. Picture this: the largest units are as long as a school bus and as tall as an elephant! Installing these isn't a walk in the park. It takes a blend of custom engineering, a bit of logistical magic, and some serious space to make it all happen. So, the next time you're relishing the ideal indoor atmosphere, remember it's all thanks to the incredible power and efficiency of our HVAC systems working diligently behind the scenes. At SM Air, we're not just about air; we're about delivering comfort on a grand scale, because we care. After all, we've been doing this since 1986, and we're not slowing down!

What Improvements have you made in your HVAC Duct manufacturing shop? We have made several improvements. We have taken a gore-lock elbow from 11 minutes down to 5 minutes, under five minutes actually, so that’s a huge improvement. It’s not the huge improvements that I actually really appreciate. It all that little tiny small improvements, like a pedal on the gore-lock machine or some other machine, where the pedal is sliding around. We just put a little piece of closed cell insulation underneath it so it would stop sliding around. So that’s a small improvement that doesn't seem like much, but it all adds up. Now our employee is not fighting to find where the foot pedal is. It's not moving around and they aren't getting frustrated. It saves a couple seconds each time they go to put their foot on it. So it’s a compounded effect. When there is so many little changes like that we have made. That’s what I really like. I like seeing the big changes as well, as they are kind of fun to see and show off, but its those little changes that a lot of people don't really value, but those are some of the more important ones.
What Improvements have you made?

WLS: Offering solutions further than the eye can see ??
Chief Operations Officer @ WLS Lighting Systems, Inc | Master Electrician, Superior Service, Energy Management and Sustainability
At WLS Lighting and Electrical, we’ve always believed in addressing the things you don’t always see. That’s why we introduced ultrasonic pole testing for shopping centers and mall parking lots. Steel poles in outdoor environments endure years of weathering, and while they might look sturdy on the outside, age and corrosion can compromise their strength over time. Unfortunately, this issue is often overlooked until it’s too late. Our ultrasonic testing allows us to identify potential problems before they turn into costly or dangerous failures. It's not just about compliance—it’s about ensuring the safety of the spaces where people shop, work, and visit. We saw this as a necessary service because when it comes to aging infrastructure, prevention is always better than reaction. #SafetyFirst #UltrasonicTesting #PreventativeMaintenance #ParkingLotSafety #WLSLightingAndElectrical

We recently got asked to look at a long standing issue with an Air Handling Unit (AHU) in a newly built Midlands office building that had been operating inefficiently since handover three years ago. The BEMS control strategy inhibited the supply fan from running unless the extract fan airflow was proven, but a miscalibrated extract airflow sensor meant that airflow could never be proven back to the BEMS which was latching out both supply and extract fans. But instead of investigating and fixing the extract airflow sensor, a previous engineer implemented a quick fix which forced manual overrides: the supply fan was left running 24/7, inlet dampers were permanently open (creating a frost risk), and the extract fan was left latched out (causing pressure and air flow imbalances). This wasted energy forcing a large supply fan to run 24/7 365, caused unnecessary wear and tear on the brand new fan motors, risk of frozen and cracked heating coils with potential building structural damage due to leaking water, and occupant comfort (lots of complaints) with poor air distribution and overpressurisation of the office space. We removed the overrides, recalibrated the faulty sensor, and restored the system’s control strategy. The AHU now operates as intended balancing airflow, protecting equipment, and reducing energy consumption. A stark reminder of how quick fixes and commissioning errors can lead to years of hidden costs…and how important these little air flow devices are in the control system!!! #AHU #AirHandlingUnits #DifferentialPressure #Commissioning #AirPressure #SmartBuildings

This could be beneficial in: Large Buildings: Channeling cool air towards specific areas in open floor plan offices or buildings. Server Rooms: Separating hot and cold air zones to maintain optimal server temperature. HVAC Systems: Creating designated pathways for conditioned air within complex duct systems.

3 周And figuring labor costs are up, the payback in labor savings alone is convincing, not to mention the other savings. Great illustration Puremaxx Filtration Solutions!
