Kids’ and teenagers’ husky sledding activities have started again! Thank you snow which is still falling down as we speak ?????? Even though this winter is our first whole winter season, we have experience from kids’ husky sledding activities from February - March 2024 when we tested our kids’ husky sledding activities, the beautiful different sized Oinakka sleds and routes. Everyone loved it! As you can see in the video, this dog sledding activity for 4-17-year-olds is different from the adults’ husky safaris in many ways: ?? We only have 1-2 dogs pulling the sled. The dogs are the best you can find ?? ?? We have different sized sleds to suit different sized children and teenagers ?? The routes are short tracks in the little forest on the farm premises. We can see the sled and driver all the time. ?? The guide is an experienced musher (=sled driver) and experienced with children. He / she gives instructions and a lesson in mushing, going through all safety aspects. ?? The parents can assist their children if needed. It’s wonderful to see how the children gain confidence when they are given the opportunity to take the reigns ? You can really see how they want to work together with the dogs and to connect ?? Who wouldn’t prefer driving the sled themselves rather than sitting in the sled freezing? And one more thing: The dogs love it, too. They love the action ???? We choose the best suited dogs for this activity, the ones retired from ”real work”, older and wiser dogs still wanting to be active but who can’t really go on longer tours. Or some of the not so old ones who really want to share these moments with families ?? Kids’ Husky Sledding activities can be arranged at your PRIVATE EXPERIENCE FARM VISIT or you can book a spot in the public slots when you book an EXPERIENCE FARM VISIT DURING PUBLIC OPENING HOURS. We love what we do ?? #sustainabletravel #familytravel #visitfinland #visitlapland #finnishlapland

The Ultimate Guide to a Happy Life with Your Dog: Expert Tips for a Fulfilling Bond Dogs are more than just pets—they’re companions, confidants, and cherished family members. Whether you’re a first-time owner or a seasoned dog parent, creating a balanced, healthy, and joyful lifestyle for your furry friend is vital. Here are expert tips to ensure your dog thrives while strengthening the bond you share. 1. Understand Your Dog’s Needs Each dog is unique, with its own personality, energy level, and requirements. Breed-Specific Traits: Research your dog's breed or mix. High-energy breeds like Border Collies need more physical and mental stimulation, while breeds like Bulldogs may prefer shorter, gentle activities. Individual Preferences: Pay attention to what your dog enjoys—some love fetch, others prefer tug games or sniffing around on leisurely walks. 2. Prioritize Training and Socialization A well-trained dog is a happy dog, and training deepens your bond. Start Early: Begin with basic commands like sit, stay, and recall. Use positive reinforcement techniques like treats, praise, and toys. Socialization: Expose your dog to different environments, people, and other dogs during early life stages to build confidence and reduce anxiety. 3. Establish a Consistent Routine Dogs thrive on routine—it provides security and reduces stress. Feeding: Serve meals at the same time each day, and choose a balanced diet tailored to your dog’s age, size, and activity level. Exercise: Schedule regular walks, playtime, or hikes to keep them physically and mentally fit. Sleep: Ensure your dog has a designated, cozy spot to rest. 4. Mental Stimulation Is Essential Boredom can lead to destructive behaviors, so keep your dog’s mind engaged. Interactive Toys: Puzzle feeders, treat-dispensing toys, or snuffle mats are great for problem-solving. Training Games: Teach new tricks or play hide-and-seek with treats. Scent Work: Let your dog sniff around on walks; it’s mentally enriching and natural for them. 5. Health and Wellness Regular care ensures your dog stays in peak condition. Vet Visits: Schedule annual checkups and keep vaccinations up to date. Dental Care: Brush their teeth or provide dental chews to prevent gum disease. Grooming: Bathe, brush, and trim nails regularly based on your dog’s breed and coat type. #Loveyourpup #Doitforbellyrubs #Spikesvippettransport PLEASE LIKE SHARE & SUBSCRIBE COME BACK TOMORROW PART 2

No Last-Minute Check-Ins Allowed! Since day one at our dog boarding kennels, this rule has been a game changer for us and your furry friends! Caring for pets goes way beyond just cuddles and kisses—it's about ensuring their safety and well-being in every way possible. When working with pets, understanding the intricate relationship between all three parties (the pet, the caregiver, and the owner) is crucial. This relationship is built on trust and open communication, which is why we prioritize comprehensive pre-boarding consultations. Why is this important? 1. Medical History : Knowing a pet’s medical background helps us identify any potential health risks and ensures we can provide any necessary medications or accommodations. A last-minute introduction can overlook critical information that could impact your pet’s stay. 2. Behavioral Insights.: Each pet has its unique personality and quirks. Understanding behavioral details, from socialization with other pets to triggers for stress or anxiety, allows us to create a tailored environment where your furry friend feels comfortable and secure. 3. Living Arrangements : Pets thrive in spaces that feel familiar and safe. Knowing how your pet behaves in different environments allows us to set up their space just right, minimizing stress and creating a welcoming atmosphere. Introducing pets to new situations without prior knowledge can lead to unnecessary anxiety or conflict. 4. Safety Protocols : When we’re unfamiliar with a pet’s needs or behavior, we can’t guarantee their safety or the safety of others in our care. Having all the details in advance helps us prepare and prevents any risks associated with unforeseen circumstances. 5. Ruling Out Abandonment Cases : By establishing a clear check-in process, we can better ensure that pets are not left in our care without proper communication from their owners. This helps us avoid potential abandonment situations and fosters responsible pet ownership. 6. Selecting Our Clients : Implementing this policy also allows us to screen clients more effectively. We prioritize working with responsible pet owners who respect our processes, enabling us to create a positive atmosphere for all our furry guests. By fostering open dialogue and thorough evaluations, we build a solid foundation of trust that leads to a happier experience for everyone involved! We don't run just a business, we are building a culture! #DogBoarding #PetCare #SafetyFirst #TrustAndCommunication #HappyPups #DogsAreFamily #HappyTailsPune
