First online meeting with our NET PES project partners: France Travail Auvergne-Rh?ne-Alpes, Veneto Lavoro and ARTI - Agenzia regionale Toscana per l’impiego (Italy), Agencia para el empleo de Madrid and Servicio de empleo de Catalunya (Spain), Helsingin Kaupunki (Finland), Arbetsmarknadsf?rvaltningen - Stockholms stad (Sweden), and Forem (Belgium). ? How to tackle the issues our Public Employment Services are facing? How to implement the twin – green and digital – transition? How to reach our target groups, namely young people, and raise awareness among the main beneficiaries of our policies? Together, our various experts for the NET PES project highlight good practices and analyse them by using the Benchlearning model proposed by the Public Employment Services Network, known as “PES Network”. In order to find innovative solutions, to challenge each other, to draw inspiration from concrete and local experiences, to work together to address the common challenges we are all facing as employment specialists in Europe and see how we can practically implement the best solutions in other countries and ecosystems. ? Starting point: developing our methodology during the next thirty months of the NET PES project. With the help of Benchlearning experts from the PES Network, we learn how to objectively evaluate the effectiveness of employment-related projects and share ideas to better incorporate the philosophy behind the model. The first guest, Mafalda D'Onofrio, an experienced assessor, presented the methodology during a very inspiring meeting and, above all, conveyed the Benchlearning spirit as proposed by the PES Network.

Indonesia was still ranked among the top ten learning abroad destinations for Australian university students in 2022. The Australian Universities International Director’s Forum (AUIDF) 2022 data shows signs of the learning abroad sector recovering after the COVID-19 pandemic. What little student engagement there was with Indonesia in 2022 was largely due to the efforts of ACICIS. To find out more, you can download the 2023 Annual Report here: https://lnkd.in/gxigY6zE

The Asian Productivity Organization (APO), in coordination with the Nepal Productivity and Economic Development Centre, is now accepting candidates for participants to the Training Course on Assessing the Gains of Green Productivity Projects, to be implemented from 27 to 30 August 2024 via Virtual Session. The APO GP concept guides enterprises, especially SMEs, in improving their environmental performance with simultaneous increases in productivity, quality, and employee well-being. The APO Handbook on GP is a guide to methodologies, tools, and techniques for enterprises to adopt for tangible gains. Projects and initiatives following the GP framework to improve the triple bottom line of productivity, quality, and environmental well-being have cost implications and require resource mobilization. Hence, to determine the impact of GP projects, the six-step, 13-task GP methodology emphasizing monitoring of GP projects has been implemented for management review. The tools address concerns such as the actual rate of return, quantification of improvement in productivity, and ascertaining the scalability and replicability of options. This course will examine the nuances of the GP methodology from assessment and monitoring perspectives. Target participants are SME managers, project managers, technical consultants, trainers, academics, and NPO officials working on GP project management and implementation, productivity enhancement, and improving environmental performance at organizational level. Interested Filipino applicants may contact the Development Academy of the Philippines, the National Productivity Organization of the Philippines, through its APO/DAP Secretariat at [email protected]. The deadline for application is on 5 August 2024. For inquiries, please click this link: https://lnkd.in/g2kTcsan?or scan the code below. #APOProject #GreenProductivity #GP #SustainableDevelopment

???????????????????? ???????????????????? – ???? ?????????? ???? ???????????????? ???? ?????????? ???????? ???????????????? Many said that learning is a lifelong journey, and I wholeheartedly agree with that. The selection process for the Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards (IISMA) was a significant hurdle in my university experience, but it also provided me with invaluable learning opportunities. Reflecting on this process fills me with gratitude, as I feel immensely privileged to have competed with outstanding students from across Indonesia for this program, organized by the Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (Ministry of Education and Culture Republic of Indonesia) Competing against hundreds of thousands of exceptional individuals was a remarkable journey. I remain profoundly grateful to be an IISMA 2024 Awardee at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. Upon reflection, I realize that my success was made possible through: 1. ???????????? ?????????????????????????? ?????? ???????????????????? ???????????????????? During the IISMA selection process, I faced numerous challenges, including intense competition and demanding application requirements. My determination kept me motivated to continuously improve my application and refine my skills, even when the process seemed overwhelming. ??. ?????????????? ?????? ?????????????? ???????? ???????????? ?????? ????????????? Throughout the application process, personal prayers provided solace and helped me maintain a positive mindset. Additionally, the encouragement and advice from family and friends were invaluable. They reviewed my application, offered constructive feedback, and cheered me on, which bolstered my confidence and resilience. ??. ???????????????? ???????????? ?????? ??????????????????????? To successfully apply for the IISMA 2024 Award, I meticulously researched the program’s requirements, attended mentorship for additional insights, and spent countless hours drafting and revising my essays. My thorough preparation ensured that my application accurately reflected my capabilities and aspirations. By combining these elements, I was able to navigate the rigorous selection process and achieve my goal of becoming an IISMA 2024 Awardee at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (The National University of Malaysia). In a few weeks, I will continue my studies there, looking forward to new experiences, broadening my international connections, and forming friendships with people from around the world. A deep appreciation goes to Bima Eza Saputra for the essential guidance on personal branding. #ToInclusivityAndBeyond #IISMA2024 #StudyAbroad #PersonalBranding

My goals for 2024 are pretty classic and simple: self-discovering and to do more for my surroundings. I was initially baffled since the Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards (IISMA) held by Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (Ministry of Education and Culture Republic of Indonesia) is a great opportunity to achieve those while I already have my own plan for 2024. It took me a long time to reflect until I decided to apply for IISMA, who would know that reflection is unconsciously the first step of my self-discovery journey. Rereading my journal means being reminded that I am someone who believes that the more diverse perspectives we gain, there will be more ideas, solutions, and bigger things are made. It encourages us to recognize new outlooks that can result in innovative ideas and fresh problem-solving approaches. IISMA is definitely a great moment to conquer those ideas and to make it happen. Though I am late in terms of preparation, this fuels my dedication to do the IISMA selection process. The selection process was indeed not an easy journey because all of sudden I had to face various problems that come to me at the same time. Questioning my ability if I can continue this process with my full potential while I am not in my full potential condition. But I can not stand idly by letting myself sink into such confusion that I need to do something about it. I need to finish what I have started with full responsibility and here comes another reflection. Rereading my essays to recognize my aims which is to witness cultures and different values from other parts of the world in order to understand my own culture. Once again being reminded by my own unforgotten dreams and aims. “... Growing up in the arms of an artist, I was always taught that every single thing we see has an everlasting beauty connecting us with our past, future, and between cultures. If given this chance, I want to introduce Indonesian culture not only as a legacy but also as our character. Who knows, by acknowledging various cultures we will rediscover our unspoken heritage”. The main lesson that I have learned: the solution is in our hands, we just need time to reflect and notice it. Because of reflection, I gained my confidence back and have unwavering dedication in the middle of uncertainty. Furthermore, I don't want to let the support of those around me go to waste. Leading Consultant on SkillsFuture & CET | Expert in SSG OR, WSQ CA, Non-WSQ CF and TPQA | 25+ Years in L&D
In a groundbreaking move, Malaysia has declared that their Skills Certificate holders are now eligible for public service positions. This shift underscores the vital role of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in our neighboring nation's workforce. But, is this enough? ?? Let's draw some parallels with Singapore's Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) system. Here’s the hard truth: 1. **Implementation Gaps**: Malaysia's TVET initiative must avoid hidden biases in public sector hiring, much like Singapore’s WSQ still struggles with varying levels of employer recognition. Are our WSQ certifications truly valued across all sectors? 2. **Quality Control**: Are all TVET programmes meeting the required standards, or do we, like in some WSQ cases, see disparities in training quality? Singapore must ensure that our WSQ programmes maintain rigorous quality assurance to remain effective. 3. **Real Employment**: While Malaysia boasts 94.5% marketability for TVET grads, are these jobs truly relevant? Singapore's WSQ faces similar scrutiny – are graduates landing jobs that match their training, or are they underemployed? 4. **Future-Ready?**: Can Malaysia’s TVET system keep pace with the Fourth Industrial Revolution? Singapore’s WSQ is designed to be dynamic, but we must remain agile and forward-looking to stay ahead of rapid technological advancements and global economic shifts. 5. **Social Perception**: The stigma around vocational training persists in both countries. We must elevate the perception of WSQ to be on par with traditional academic paths. Success stories of WSQ graduates should be promoted to shift societal attitudes. It’s time to stop paying lip service and start truly valuing vocational skills. Let's ensure our WSQ graduates are not only employable but respected and given the opportunities they deserve. ?? What’s your take? Are we ready to embrace this change, or is it just another political maneuver? ??? #TVET #WSQ #WorkforceDevelopment
