?? A big shout-out to all PromoStandards Volunteers for a fantastic Technology Summit last week! PromoStandards is shaping the Promotional Product Industry's future. Reflecting on my journey, I'm reminded of a moment back in 2017 when the concept of open access to product data was met with skepticism. "Why would we give our product data to a potential competitor?" was a question posed when I sought to license product data to develop unique software solutions for promotional products distributors. It highlighted a significant barrier to innovation within our industry, dominated by a duopoly that held somewhat exclusive access to crucial data. Fast forward to today. A shift towards open data access is breaking down the old barriers, allowing companies like PromoHunt and others (list below) to innovate and compete on a (more) level playing field. It's a win-win for everyone in the promotional products industry. Thank you, PromoStandards, for leading the charge towards a more open, accessible, and innovative future. Your efforts are creating a more level playing field where companies of all sizes can contribute to and benefit from the industry's growth.
